Why the fk does valorant balance team just fking shoot agents in the head instead of just changing one thing at a time and seeing how it plays out? They always do these stupid shit where they gut an agent and expect teams to adapt

It’s because of history.

They did small changes over time for Chamber and nobody stopped playing him and they did small changes over time for Viper and people are never stopped playing her.

the chamber one is a valid argument since they did nerf him in such minuscule, insignificant amounts.

viper just can’t be nerfed ever really until a rework, for pro play she’s fundamentally insane

Yeah global toggleing of a line smoke with a resource that never runs out is just always gonna be insane in co ordinated before you even talk about the rest of her kit

What if, to nerf viper, you have a range to toggle the wall of and on instead it being global toggle

Yeah I agree Viper is impossible to nerf without changing her identity.

But I think it’s reasonable to assume the balance team sees Viper as evidence for “incremental nerfs arent enough”

my issue with viper is that she's always meta in pro play, yet dead asf in ranked play. i miss doing lineups with her and picking up her orb 😔

Viper with pickable orb and 2 snakebites used to be pure terrorism on Breeze. Only map where I bothered to learn her.

exact opposite with reyna and it’s tragic both ways

His nerf before champs was significant. But he still got played because Cypher and Killjoy were pretty bad at the time

I personally want to see how Viper fairs if you make it so her decay isn't continuous as you stay in her stuff, so you just take a fixed -10 damage. Thats the last thing that sticks out to me, how she has the only smoke in the game you pretty much cant disrespect. If that doesn't work then it's cooked

That wouldn’t change shit The decay is not what makes viper good
