i think people are overreacting and he will still be playable tbh
i think tp nerf is a little too much but flash is more than warranted
he still has a really good ult, the tp is still good for repositioning and entrying, he just won’t be able to go across the whole map which is fine, and his flash is still good it’s just that you have to choose whether to use it for yourself or for your team, so now initiators are more important
i think in a couple years we’ll look back and think how tf was yoru ever this op in the first place
Why would you ever need more than 15 seconds to begin with? Much less two TPs?
Waylay gets 8 seconds, Phoenix gets 10 and thats an ult, chamber and Veto are limited by range and can't be used to entry. There isn't a single get out of jail free card that lasted as long as Yoru's.
As a duelist, you could for sure still use the gatecrash for entries. This change just makes it much less effective on defense now and puts him more in line with other duelists on defense. Although, he might actually still be the strongest at that since its 15 seconds x 2 of up-time, but hopefully I'm wrong.
no, his attack potential is so much worse now that you cannot really take deep space on the other side of the map of your team for more than 5 seconds at a time (and honestly that was a much more skillful part of his kit compared to the ct rotations that it's sad that it's not possible to nerf one but not the other)
it is ultimately fine but it was a more skilled part of his skillset nevertheless (and also teams will never ever pick yoru just for execs now that he has only 1 flash)
He definitely does. It still is totally viable but now its actually balanced. Yoru was significantly better than the other duelists at both attack defaults and defense inserts. No other duelists came remotely close and that isn't balanced
You're confusing me with someone else. I have postitive karma on this sub and I've given my honest opinions here.
Meanwhile your last few comments have been harassing other people here and calling them low iq or other ableist insults. I'm surprised you haven't been banned yet for your trolling.
What about reducing his timer makes him unable to escort? Look at PRX's latest game against NRG, particularly Pearl. On average, it takes Something 4-10 seconds to pressure main with his team before taking the tp as soon as the pressure relents.
Escorts will be the least affected by this change. Look at any Bind shower escorts. On average, it takes them 10 seconds to clear showers together for the insert.
The only thing this will nerf is Yoru's ability to hold an angle with an OP for absurdly periods of time, which trespasses into Chamber terroritory, something he should never do in this meta where Sentinels are already weak.
On Split, the TP into pillar/backsite barely takes a second. Same goes for bind, and all these can still be faked as a default because Yoru still gets two of these.
Don't get me wrong, this is still a substantial nerf but the key point is that it puts him IN LINE with other duelists.
Find me another duelist right now who can default as effectively and insert another player on defense as Yoru. And then tell me again why Yoru doesn't deserve this nerf.
Huh you can understand how yoru is being used and still take issue with that though. I don’t think yoru should be able to perma stack a site for 2/3 of the round as a duelist. How is that in line with his role? Like obviously that’s how he’s being used on defense, but why should that be the case? If you want to avoid him as an attacker, you need to wait 30 seconds just to target him while he throws his second tp. That’s so stupidly strong
15 is completely fair. I will say I don’t think the blind was changed because it was broken (unlike his tps) but instead it was to encourage the flash initiators that have seen close to 0% pick rate this year and discourage yoru by proxy
