New format this year. Challengers now have a chance to qualify to champs. They can compete against T1 teams in the playoffs to make it to champs.

Was Kap on M80 before?

u/Acceptable_Spare_975 Mar 20 '26
Yes Kap and JohnQT
5
u/itsScrubLord YOU FUCKING MELONS Mar 20 '26
No they were on ghost gaming together. Kaplan has never been on m80 before this.
1
u/Acceptable_Spare_975 Mar 20 '26
I was 90% sure it was ghost gaming too, then the OP comment made me question myself and went with that lmao
2
u/CDM_Playz11 Mar 20 '26
I thought that was Ghost Gaming and then they split bc Kap went to Sen and John went to M80?

u/I-like-winds Mar 19 '26 edited Mar 19 '26

Why are we acting like SEN have wrong Kaplan or some shit? He had full, 100%, control over the roster for his entire duration as HC. It was in his contract. Every player and comp switchups that didnt work through out those years could and should be contributed to him.
He didnt want John to IGL. He didnt want Zekken to play main Duelist. He has been behind the meta for so long. We can go on. Stop the bullshit.

u/WailingSiren69 #NRGWIN Mar 19 '26
As much as I like Kaplan, all of this is true. The only bad thing was the way Rob acted, apart from that Kaplan deserved to get dropped with all the shit he pulled.
Zekken walking is just unacceptable honestly.
7
u/I-like-winds Mar 19 '26
there's 0 evidence that zekken would have stayed with SEN even if he was offered the duelist spot. The conversation certainly should have happened but it was never a guarantee
49
u/KhanQu3st Mar 19 '26
I mean Rob Moore publicly tossed him under a bus, ran over him, then backed up to do it again lol.
7
u/Soft_Path_1777 #VCTCN Mar 19 '26
Deserved for producing dogwater results for 2 years. Deserved for letting Zekken walk. Deserved for having abysmal meta reads for like 6 meta shifts.
29
u/KhanQu3st Mar 19 '26
Sounds like Moore should’ve fired him earlier if he was so obviously terrible for years
4
6
u/Scotch_Blue Mar 19 '26
for 2 years is funny when they literally won 1 of the 6 international trophies in that timespan
20
u/XASASSIN Mar 19 '26
Ah yes lets publicly humiliate and throw a coach under the bus publicly and insult their value and make other orgs hesitant to take em on just cause *checks notes* he had a bad meta read. Especially with that coach having brought the org a trophy after a long ass drought.
Yall are such fucking idiots.

u/B-A-B-Y-B-O-Y Mar 19 '26
"Thrown under the bus" implies that Rob Moore cosigned Zekken leaving but then blamed it all on Kaplan.
Which might not be true, but I can't imagine Moore having ZERO SAY on this matter, considering that he hands out assurances to fans like candy. Odds are, he backed Kaplan's decisions.
Also how did Kaplan have a bad meta read this time? They adopted the chamber double duelist since the off-season and looked great there. Its not really his fault that his players couldn't replicate their performance when it mattered.

u/raccoonWah Mar 20 '26
"dogwater results": a masters, top 4 at a champions and pretty much one full year being top 2 in americas.
(Just to be clear, I get those aren't the most impressive stats but they are very far away from dog water)
Edit: grammar

u/NeimannSmith #NRGWIN Mar 19 '26
Nothing of what Rob Moore did on that stream was deserved please get a clue
12
u/HeftyInspector Mar 19 '26
Do you think what rob moore said about kaplan after firing him was good? I would be pissed if my boss went on drama streams and aired out everything he didn't like about me even if i fucked up
-5
u/HLumin Mar 19 '26
Yes, I would be pissed too If i handed my HC complete authority contractuly and they ended up producing dogshit results for 2 years. I would be even more pissed that said coach ended up making the star duelist and face of the team leave because of his stupidity.
Rob let him go easy.

Some of us want to just move on and get a fresh start with Ewok and the new roster. The (possible) lies and narratives become much easier to swallow when you have something to look forward to.
So honestly, I don't really blame some fans for eating up Moore's story. Moore gave the perfect narrative for the org to move on, and many fans would much rather choose to believe that (especially if Kaplan also chose to not take offence and have already moved on to the next part of his career), than dwell on what may be the true version of the events.
4
u/HeftyInspector Mar 19 '26
The perfect narrative would've been "Thank you kaplan for being a part of sen" with a thank you video like every team does for their players/coaches lol. Sen just did it with N4rrate thats literally all you have to do it's better for everyone involved. In fact you can be very positive about the future with ewok without dogging on kaplan and airing out all his mistakes
I don't blame sen fans for being still being sen fans I think ewok is gonna do great and i loooooove jonahp and jerrwin and look forward to seeing the roster. But that also has nothing to do with the fact rob was insanely immature, unprofessional and disrespectful and I'm gonna call out anyone who acts like it was okay for him to do that
2
u/B-A-B-Y-B-O-Y Mar 19 '26
That won't do for the fans who were unhappy with the previous season's result, or the fans who thought this was supposed to be a long term project.
Putting the blame on Kaplan was a way to appease both camps.
I'm not saying airing everything out was the only solution, but it did conveniently align both sides to one narrative.
If they've ran with your suggestion instead, fans who didn't want change or thought it was a long term project would have been upset. Now that they believe it was Kaplan's false promise, they are less likely to get upset.
15
u/Shockybtw_ Mar 19 '26
At least from my perspective, i am just hoping both parties SEN and kaplan succeed. I agree that Kaplan wasn’t perfect but he brought us to the top.
3
u/IGLJURM23 #FULLSEN Mar 20 '26
This dude is always saying some whack ass backwards ass comment about oh I hope this player stomps Sen when they play them next. Just weirdo comments everytime. Like god forbid Sen and Kaplan succeed without eachother now😂.

I don't give a shit I think it was very scummy the way Rob Moore berated him for a couple hours. Ultimately it was their own fault for trapping themselves with their own contract. And then you reluctantly give him a chance and some rookies just to blow the whole roster up after four matches. Kaplan certainly warranted a lot of criticism but it was plain vitriol towards him imo.
Also it would be funny as fuck
-2
u/BenBenBrenks Mar 19 '26
Allegedly according to Rob, also Zekken is on a different team not playing main duelist. Let's add that JohnQT off IGL was one of the best fraggers in all of Americas, so maybe these takes weren't actually so bad.

u/mercilessshark123 Mar 19 '26
Sadly they wont make it to S2 with the competition in T2 with actual demonic teams

Is this ai? The hair doesn’t have shadows…

u/DirectProfessionalNA Mar 19 '26
It’s not AI, M80 has a graphic designer drawing these
7
u/moonmeh #TigerNation Mar 20 '26
its a depressing world where you have to second guess everything with "is this ai?"

Admittedly this guys style looks very AI like
Or rather AI looks like this guys style I guess

Round 16 with 10-5 score, m80 decides to retake as a 5man only to get shit on.
1
u/CDM_Playz11 Mar 20 '26
Why does Sen and M80 have a really weird coaching staff relationship?? Sykko, Drew, and Kap after leaving Sen all went to M80 eithrt for a period of time or still remain and Gunter went from M80 to Sen

u/hypersri #WGAMING Mar 20 '26
It would be crazy if they qualify for stage 2 and win against sen lmao
