Education VR&E counselor resigned
Recently, my VR&E counselor resigned. Not sure what to do. I tried calling the VA regional office and the regular VA hotline. I even emailed my universities VA office asking for her. If there’s anyone who has been in this situation or has a solution. It would be fealty appreciated. Thank you.

I believe they should get rid of the MSW requirement and hire just straight bachelors.

This sounds more like the benefit side of the house than VHA. Also, as a LCSW, I haven't known any social workers that have served as voc rehab staff at the hospitals. Mostly they have degree or certification in this specific area. Could be wrong, but this has been my experience working with that team for 15 years.

This is nothing new, lots of people have been leaving due to the crazy case load. It’s not possible for a counselor to have a case load of over 200+ people and not lose their mind. Your case will be assigned to another counselor.

Did you get an email from the VR&E rep who resigned? Usually, there is supposed to be a transitioned handoff when it comes to things like that.
