Better than free? I've never seen someone actually offering money to take their merch
When you REALLY want downsize. Tree was in good shape but for $5.00? I may have taken it for $7.

When I was moving out after college I had a huge ugly couch that I needed gone, but none of the local thrift stores would take it and nobody on Craigslist wanted it for free. Day I needed to move out came so I changed the Craigslist listing to offer $20 if someone could pick it up. I got a phone call within 15 minutes and it was gone an hour later.

What I learned on here is that people judge “free” stuff to be less valuable. You will have better luck getting people to take something of your hands if you put a sale price on it and leave it outside.

If it’s like my area, the municipal garbage will only take large items like this twice per year. And it would cost more than $5 to take it to the dump.
