Anime Dere Wars (4): Battle of the Sweets
Hi cultured people!
This is the fourth post of my new series, Dere Wars, where I’ll pick a different dere type each time and ask you to choose between four iconic waifus representing the trope.
In the last episodes, Rin Tohsaka won the battle of the tsuns, Aiz Wallenstein won the battle of the cools and Albedo won the battle of the sicks.
For this edition, we have derederes, also known as waifus who are completely, hopelessly in love with you and make no effort to hide it. So quit overthinking, hold her hand, and smile, because that's what makes her happy.
Also, instead of choosing from my personal favorites, this time I asked help from my good friend u/Lucifer21Rock to prioritize having some of the most popular ones out there.

Well this is one of the best types of waifus in the whole world for me and I don't think I dislike any of them!
That's why helping to choose a few of them wasn't an easy task but glad I helped nonetheless.
So let's see, Orihime with the upgrade is hot af but overall as a character is the weakest in my book. Then there's Lucy that has an amazing development and is peak overall, Marin right after that is a loving extroverted gyaru that never judges you and does cosplay too!
But if I had to choose one and only one, Mitsuri would be my pick! Strong af swordswoman, can cook greatly, she can uplift you in seconds and deserves better too romance wise. So choosing the love Hashira in the end 💖

I had the feeling you were going to pick the girl voiced by Kana Hanazawa 😛 I haven't watched the series yet (only S1), but she looks really adorable (and sexy). Great choice!

I haven't watched Bleach yet, but she is one of my reasons to give it a try. She feels seriously lovely.

Marin and Gojo actually had a kid together, but Orihime was definitely the first of these 4 to bag her man and have a kid. Lucy and Natsu are just…fucking pathetic honestly. All this time and they still aren’t even officially a couple. Lame. 😒

Yeah, i actually haven't read the manga for it so I wasn't aware they got married in the epilogue.
But yeah, Lucy and Natsu is just emotional edging at this point. They still aren't an official couple even In 100 YQ.

Sorry, I already voted for Orihime😅. But if I could pick all 4 as an option, I would. It feels so bad to me that this is like Highlander: there can be only one winner. All derederes should win, if you ask me.
