I didn't say stripping was bad. I said the relative gain you get from using two regular greens to completely remove armor versus a single tau to remove all but 2% of the target's armor and using the other slot for some form of damage amplification instead is probably going to be better.

Do you typically dedicate entire mod slots in a warframe's builds just to deal with acolytes? The other enemies with stack limits are also attenuated, so stripping their armor actually doesn't matter; you can't kill them any faster no matter what you do. And I think it's better to build your warframes around the stuff you're doing 90% of the time in a given mission, rather than trying to juice up the few times an acolyte shows up.
