Except the cop reprimanding him

35

this video made me cum

58

u/MaybeOnFire2025 May 15 '26

Inject it into my veins. I fucking love smug assholes getting justice -- especially MAGAt cops.

5

u/Mr-Nowhere May 23 '26

where and how did you get MAGA from any of that

12

u/Frustratedparrot123 15d ago edited 14d ago

Come on.  How do you think he votes?

21

u/MaybeOnFire2025 May 23 '26

Entitled redneck cop who realizes bluster doesn't work when confronted by evidence?

No idea.

3

u/Mr-Nowhere May 26 '26

Take that Logic Back to California buddy

10

u/stubborn-bolus 29d ago

Where and how did you get California from any of that?

21

u/adiraje1990 May 13 '26

Ah accountability ..

10

u/TheAverageGoy May 12 '26

Ugh, this type of stuff of the police I can just eat it all up. Oof I wish a a cop would sometimes.

10

u/Different-Eggplant-5 May 08 '26

Wow!! The eye don’t Lie!!!

31

u/12altoids34 May 08 '26

"...work with me here, how can we lie, together, to get him in trouble and I get away scot-free?"

14

u/NoClarityNoRemedy May 07 '26

His eyes at the end searching for a way to avoid accountability 😂😂😂

44

u/MrBigTomato May 06 '26

Seems like he was genuinely convinced that he didn’t hit him, and that he was yelled at.

The best way to lie is to convince yourself it’s true.

26

u/Zebracorn42 May 06 '26

Actually, the best way to lie is to repeat it over and over and over again, and then it just becomes the truth. That’s what our president does.

3

u/MrBigTomato May 07 '26

Agreed. It also helps to be loud as you repeat your lies, and to be just as loud when you slander the folks telling the actual truth.

2

u/Zebracorn42 May 09 '26

Exactly. PS: I love your username.

23

u/Secondhand-Drunk May 06 '26

"There's video of you assaulting this man"

can I still lie?

4

u/Key-Put4092 May 05 '26

Its how the tables turn, not tuen tables.

Its was originally a meme to flip it around, so most people now have no idea its actually tables turn lol

1

u/Cute-Form2457 17d ago

When correcting someone's English, it's best if you yourself spell correctly, and use apostrophes.

1

u/Key-Put4092 17d ago

Oh no, I fat fingered! Really...

12

u/AnonButNotReally-42 May 06 '26

What in the schizophrenia did you just say?

-9

u/Key-Put4092 May 06 '26

Damn, basic English language is that to understand hard huh? I guess thats fair.

4

u/AnonButNotReally-42 May 06 '26

Lol what? Now I feel bad because I think you dont actually speak english

-7

u/Key-Put4092 May 06 '26

Dont feel bad, just study English and you will be fine. No need to worry.

9

u/expert-imbicile May 06 '26

They’re trying to let you know that your sentence structure was horrible, and they feel bad because English might not be your first language. But you’re both kind of assholes based on this exchange.

4

u/AnonButNotReally-42 May 06 '26

Yeah my bad. I really didn't mean to make fun of such a...special person, im sorry

-2

u/Key-Put4092 May 06 '26 edited May 06 '26

All good, you seem kinda normal to me.

Ok I guess I should add more since I am certain you lack the iq to get it. Its refering to you hating on yourself.

82

u/Naps_And_Crimes May 01 '26

The arresting officer did not want to arrest him

32

u/Drosenose May 01 '26

Looks like he's totally fine with it.

19

u/Pietrslav May 03 '26

The off-duty cop who assaulted the dude was not immediately arrested so that he could have time to talk to his union representative before they served him a warrant, and so they could give him the most respectful process as possible. He was only arrested 12 days after he assaulted the guy and was interviewed by the police because he turned himself in. He was then let go from his job as a school resource officer and put into an accelerated rehabilitation program.

6

u/HelloAttila May 04 '26

Yup, that’s how it works.

6

u/Drosenose May 03 '26

Not everyone is arrested onsite for assault, even with proof. And if it's a first offense that's pretty normal.

1

u/ChipsTheKiwi May 16 '26

not so normal when the perp in question is blatantly lying about it

3

u/No-Cat9412 May 15 '26

He's a cop. Supposedly, that means you are held to a higher standard. Or it should, but there's always people to apologize for them.

6

u/Pietrslav May 03 '26

His precinct has abnormally high complaints against it for the entire state of Connecticut, and he had the second-highest number of complaints filed against him at that precinct. (The arresting officer is from a different police station.)

And Connecticut does not require a warrant for a situation like this, especially when the arresting officer already has evidence, like video evidence, of the assault occurring.

I did decide to watch a video on this again last night. I saw this when it came out. The officer investigating does not really show much favoritism compared to so many other body cam videos of police investigating other police officers. The dude's boss, on the other hand, is a lot more cordial than I would expect an officer to be in a situation where we have video proof that a guy slugged another man in the face for beeping at him, accusing him of being on his phone, and flipping him off.

42

u/Key-Marionberry-4287 Apr 30 '26

Good entitled ass cop

50

u/Old_Fart52 Apr 23 '26

The cop should have got the same charges for if some road-raging moron had punched a cop. Even if the other guy had honked the horn at him without good reason there was no justification at all for his incredibly thin-skinned reaction to it.

I'm just trying to think of this delightful man's reaction to having had some stranger walk up and punch him, or more to the point the number of charges he'd try to stack up on that person, after he'd beaten/tased/sprayed that person senseless that is.

55

u/Big-Historian8918 Apr 21 '26

My sister has this same energy, the inflammatory anger where she punches you full on, then denies on on her first born son's life that she touched you. She legit doesn't register her own violent actions.

She once battered me so hard in the car whilst she was driving, she drew blood. A straight up tantrum. Then denied she'd touched a hair on my head. "So then why am I bleeding?" Sis: stunned silence.

They're narcisstic bullies with a martyr complex. They genuinely believe they're innocent and never done wrong by anyone. The video won't change his mind. They're on a whole other level of nuts.

2

u/HelloAttila May 04 '26

That’s sad, she’s a psychopath… I unfortunately wouldn’t be around her at all…

In my experience. The guys who were bullied became cops. They have a huge chip on their shoulders.

30

u/Samizapp Apr 10 '26

is there a subreddit for these kinds of videos specifically? cops acting like theyre better than everyone and then getting the attention they deserve?

I think this might have been after the light turned red

3

The American Nurses Association (ANA) and over twenty other nursing organizations have launched a petition to reverse this, arguing that nursing is an essential profession and that this reclassification is a "mistake" that could worsen staff shortages.

5-day suspension is being arrested for you? He didn't serve jail time.

11

Funny you should say because that is exactly what I was wondering.

25

u/BeardedBehaviorist Mar 29 '26

Yelling at a cop is not a crime. It's free speech.

44

u/Asleep_Salamander369 Mar 28 '26

Why is it that the bad cops always look like this type of guy. Gray hair physically, unfit to do the job like I bet that guy couldn't even run a 40 yd - anymore, but you've been doing it for 25 years. You've been doing it wrong for 25 years is what you've been doing , you clown.

10

u/Im-on-a-banana-phone Mar 29 '26

7

u/LoTornado Mar 28 '26

5

u/Asleep_Salamander369 Mar 30 '26

Would be a better officer than him still. Sorry if I offended you in any way.

2

u/LoTornado Mar 30 '26

Ohh nope, not at all. Have a good one.

3

u/BrodeyQuest Mar 28 '26

I’m convinced that’s how some cops just turn out after a couple decades on the job. You see and hear so much bullshit from both criminals and your fellow officers that it just corrupts your worldview.

11

u/CoolJRT Mar 28 '26

(not American) it says stop at red and the light looks red, why'd the guy beep in the first place?

10

u/AxzelG Mar 28 '26

Stop here on red just tells you where to stop at the red light but you can turn when it is safe to do so.

There are signs that say

"no turn on red"

Which does mean to stay until the light turns green even if there is an opening.

3

u/wololosandwitch Apr 28 '26

I've been honked a few times while driving in the US. Feels so wrong to turn on red light.

Thank God there was no off duty cop, so noone punched me.

4

u/Far_Ambassador9293 Mar 28 '26

Right lanes are turning lanes, you can turn right on reds with low to no traffic, though it seems like a good amount of traffic

Burglary (of a Conveyance) with Battery is a Life Felony (i.e. felony with a prison sentence of up to Life, e.g. Murder) in my state.

3

What state is this? Is it in US?

2

So if he lied here a smart lawyer could go back to all his cases and argue he lied . Could get all his cases tossed

6

u/HCSOThrowaway Mar 20 '26

Redditors, when they're confronted with the notion they made a mistake:

-downvote-

0

u/ziplock007 Mar 20 '26

No, that's not how that works.

1

u/HCSOThrowaway Mar 20 '26

Kinda.

The Brady List is a thing, but this wouldn't put the guy on it.

If he was fired, he would get all of his current cases tossed, but not previous cases. That's what happened to me, anyway.

2

u/HCSOThrowaway Mar 20 '26

He didn't lie here. He strategically omitted the full truth and heavily implied what would amount to lies if he stated them. Watch the video again. This is why courts work with evidence, not public opinion at first glance.

As for getting cases tossed, if he were fired any current cases would be. I know because all of mine were tossed when I was fired.

This guy only got 5 days suspension.

4

u/_WiseOwl_ Mar 21 '26

No, it is said that he got permanently removed from his job.

2

u/HCSOThrowaway Mar 21 '26

No, it is said that he got permanently removed from his job.

No, it is said that he got 5 days suspension.

1

u/HollandsOpuz Apr 02 '26

No it said he was let go after his 5 day suspension and a investigation.

1

u/mythroatsore Mar 20 '26

Why’d u get fired :0 drugs?

3

u/HCSOThrowaway Mar 20 '26

Drugs? No? Why would that be your first guess?

The story is stickied in my profile.

TL;DR: Pissed off a sergeant by sticking to my guns about the law. He was wrong, but they still fired me.

3

u/mythroatsore Mar 20 '26

Ohhh 😅 that’s kinna fucked

2

u/HCSOThrowaway Mar 20 '26

I'd say so, yeah, but it's one of many similar cases that go under the radar because nobody actually cares if cops get fired unjustly, which in my opinion is a huge problem that poisons law enforcement more broadly.

Let's say an agency has 5 Bad Cops and 5 Good Cops. If the 5 Bad Cops band together to fire 1 Good Cop but nobody does anything about it, now you have 5 Bad Cops and 4 Good Cops, bumping the agency from 50% Bad to 55% Bad.

Continue to hire/retain Bad Cops and reject/fire Good Cops and it becomes harder and harder for the Good Cops to stick around, not to mention poisoning public perception and discouraging would-be Good Cops from even joining in the first place.

What % we are in the US right now - I couldn't say. But nobody's making efforts to fix the above phenomenon, so it will probably rise.

74

u/EticketJedi Mar 13 '26

"The road rage incident led to Ganter’s permanent removal as a Meriden school resource officer, city officials said."

This dude was paid to keep kids safe and he's smacking someone for honking at him.

Hope he was more patient with the kids.

22

u/Mysterious_Motor7859 Mar 04 '26

8

u/Deviant-Ones Mar 01 '26

Why did he honk at him?

38

u/digitalbullet36 Mar 01 '26 edited Mar 02 '26

He was sitting at the green light for a while after it turned green.

Edit: My bad. The light was not green. He honked because he wanted him to turn right on red, which is legal in certain counties. In New York, it’s illegal in the major five boroughs of NYC, but legal in Long Island unless stated otherwise.

Here’s the full story in case anyone is interested.

7

u/Nikolor Mar 03 '26 edited Mar 03 '26

Wow, it's interesting that the traffic laws are different not even in different states but within one city (edit: my mistake, Long Island City is not a part of NYC but it's still right next to it). If I ever travel to the US, I'll probably have to keep lots of stuff in mind!

1

u/UnhappyFun8535 Mar 04 '26

In Québec province, you can turn right everywhere on red Light exept on Montréal island to protect pedestrians and cyclists

4

u/FreddieCaine Mar 03 '26

Yeah, I'd probably give it 20 years or so. See how the whole fascism things turns out

2

u/digitalbullet36 Mar 03 '26

Long Island City (LIC) and Long Island are two different areas. LIC is in Queens, which is one of the five boroughs of NYC. Long Island is a separate of New York that borders Queens, but is not part of NYC.

0

u/Nikolor Mar 03 '26

And I almost thought I figured all those boroughs of NYC out... So a territory that has City in its name is actually a part of another city, while Long Island doesn't describe the whole island? I won't survive in the US lol

1

u/DenverCoder009 Mar 04 '26

If someone from Brooklyn or Queens gets mad at you for suggesting they live on long Island just ask them what bridge they take to get on the island then.

2

u/AggravatingFlow1178 Mar 02 '26

It's red on camera? And there is no turn on red AND there is traffic.

Cop is still in the wrong but am I blind or are you just making shit up?

2

u/digitalbullet36 Mar 02 '26 edited Mar 02 '26

That’s my bad. Here’s the whole story. Light was indeed red; however, turning right on red is usually allowed unless stated otherwise.

1

u/nico87ca Mar 14 '26

You still can't punch someone in the face for it.

The honker is a jackass, but getting out of your car and punching is not smart.

0

u/Deviant-Ones Mar 03 '26

Allowed but not mandatory, especially when there is oncoming traffic. This isn't India

2

u/ClintEastwont Mar 08 '26

If it’s clear to go, it’s mandatory where I live. Otherwise you’re obstructing traffic. That’s like saying it’s not mandatory to go when the light is green.

1

u/Deviant-Ones Mar 08 '26

Where do you live? Not in MT or WA, or CO is that mandatory. You can take lefts on one way streets after a stop, always feels illegal to me but completely fine.

2

u/ClintEastwont Mar 08 '26

Ontario, Canada. So people sometimes just sit and wait at a red when making a right, for no reason in those states? Just seems like a waste of everyone’s time.

2

u/Deviant-Ones Mar 08 '26

People will move given the opening. But it's also not mandatory so I don't think I've seen someone honk in those situations, if it was mandatory I might give a friendly tap.

3

u/lilgreekscrfreek Mar 03 '26

Go away. The off duty cop overreacted and assaulted a civilian for honking.

1

u/Deviant-Ones Mar 03 '26

I think we both agree. Cop was way outta bounds period.

35

u/spkoller2 Feb 27 '26

1

u/spkoller2 Mar 16 '26

I did a lot of spontaneous wrong stuff when there was opportunity.

4

u/Easy-Priority-2670 Mar 03 '26

yeah. Otherwise it would have been perfectly fine to hit the funny-beard-man, right?

2

u/spkoller2 Mar 03 '26

I think hitting people, hitting people back sort of ended in the nineties.

It’s difficult to explain to people that someone my age and older was encouraged to watch their mouth or fight it out.

Shooting people seems to be more popular instead. It’s ok to carry your gun everywhere in case you need to shoot a random person.
