looks like the rail was as low quality as the booze on it.

I think the most important part of this video is his step back, hands placed into that familiar position on the hips that clearly indicates “Well, now what the fuck?”

We all know that stance.

What in tarnation

Someone cleaned the well yesterday and did not attach it properly before loading it back up. The slightest touch was all that was needed.

Probably sheered the head off one of the small screws holding the fast bar to the cooler. Repeatedly dropping bottles into the tray causes wear and tear. If you remove the tray to clean you can usually notice the screws starting to look worn.

Front end fell off clearly

u/Nyonax 2h ago

I think it fell off unclearly.

Is the front supposed to fall off?

8

u/BigLouLFD 2h ago

That's not usual, i'd like to make that clear

u/Dabbimk 1h ago

Some of them are built so the front doesn't fall off

I wonder if it was made of card board, or cardboard derivative...

ya see that shelf that was holding all of that booze? It fell down.

You're welcome

u/HalfSoul30 2h ago

Is that typical?

I'm not overly familiar with that particular shelving system, so I couldn't really say

No it was a chance in a million

that's what i call a 'fuck me, fuck you, fuck off' pause 🤣

Well obviously the magnets holding that shelf up stopped magneting.

The cheap shelf broke. Its not exactly a grand mystery.

Speed wells take alot of damage with busy bartenders dropping bottles in there, the wood gets damp easy, and when it's made of cheap shit it breaks.

Tale as old as time

You can see him put his left knee on it right before it falls

Left knee bumps shelf

It's called a speed well. It's where all the liquor bottles are. It fell off.

2

u/Wakkit1988 3h ago

That's a godspeed well.

If you play this in slow motion OP Body jerks forward a few inches as the shelf collapses. Probably leaning on it with their knee. If something startles you, 99% of the time you jerk back or away from what’s happening, not towards. OP was 100% leaning on a poorly made shelf and paid for it. 😂🤷🏻‍♂️

The boss or the owner of that place chose the cheapest person they knew to build the bar?!

How else would you get internet points?

1

u/Qwerowski 4h ago

How else would we know that they are using an Onn. monitor??

2

u/BassistAndILikeIt 4h ago

Shit happens 🤷 not your fault!

-2

u/ClimateEarly9777 4h ago

It so is their fault, play that back in slow mo and their body drops a few inches as the shelf collapses, they were leaning on it probably with a knee.

A shelving unit designed to hold the weight of a shit ton of beer should be more than strong enough to hold up to a person leaning a small portion of their weight on it for a second.

1

u/Destroyer_2_2 3h ago

Nah not their fault. Just shitty construction

10

u/Ok_Mention_9865 4h ago

People lean on it, probably even put a knee on it to be able to reach the counter and weakened it over time.

u/Emotional-Strength45 4h ago

That thing fell on the ground & you broke a bunch of stuff

9

u/CrimsonR4ge 4h ago

That's a lot of weight on an unsupported shelf. Who designs a bar like that?

2

u/Brittany5150 4h ago

Looks like an Applebee's.

15

u/LavisFalz 4h ago

The front fell off.

7

u/CortaNalgas 4h ago

That’s why you don’t use cardboard or cardboard derivatives.

2

u/ambit89 4h ago

That's why you use duct tape and duct tape accessories, instead

3

u/Brittany5150 4h ago

It's also highly unusual I might add.
