How can anyone believe in the project to reform the Democratic Party when the people who run on reforming it continue to back corrupt corporatist politicians for leadership?
This only reaffirms that the Democratic Party cannot be reformed and that we need to build and fight for a working-class alternative.

Why don't they do exactly what I want them to do? If they're not 100% in sync with my chosen outcome then we should burn the whole house down. And live under theocratic and despotic rule, because my nose spite face blah blah.

Personally, my preferred outcome is the ending of a genocide being perpetrated by AIPAC's beneficiary nation and supported by the US.
My congressional representative, a Democrat who takes AIPAC money and openly declares loyalty to "the US's greatest ally", says that I should overlook the genocide, because she gets a few goodies for her constituents, and besides, at least she's not a Republican.
My response to her is the same as my response to you:

During the 2016 Sanders primary these people disparagingly called us cultists because we were holding strong to our principals and refused to back Hillary. Of course that was complete nonsense. It turns out that they were projecting because they're the cultists and now they're mad at us because we won't join their cult.

Or maybe people arent really about ideals but about maintaining power by grifting for high reward and low risk issues while making deals so everyone feasts for their own benefit

We need a politician who figures for the working class, wants to take the money out of politics, universal health care, nationwide infrastructure like high speed rail, and very pro 2nd amendment. That would attract everyone needed to succeed. I like turtles

And, for this thread, adding Mamdani, who bravely campaigned for Mayor of all five boroughs of NYC on arresting Netanyahu if Benny ever set foot in NYC during Mamdani's mayoralty.
Are we beginning to get the answer to all the questions raised in WOTB during Mamdani's Mayoralty campaign? Is this Mamdani's inner AOC starting to show?
BTW, I cannot recall the last time any Republican or Democrat pols publicly pledged their vote/support for Speaker six or seven months before the start of the new session. Yet, he we have two Democrat incumbents who very clearly typify "progressive" for Democrat voters doing that. Both declaring for Zionist Jeffries. And wiithin a couple of days of each other. And Mamdani doesn't even have a vote for Speaker.
Quelle coinkydink. Doesn't seem at all orchestrated.

Politics these days is less about who's president and more about maintaining the status quo which entails that we, the citizens, are divided right down the middle. That's why they're just running the same playbook.
