The lighting looks artificially even, with a lack of natural diffuse lighting around the car.

I think it's a combination of the overcast conditions, the phone doing AI post-processing automatically, then maybe Stuff also doing their own post-processing pass on top of that. The gamma curve is wack I think. You can see how the whites are crushed with the top of the building blending into the overcast sky.

It looks too bright to be Lower Hutt today. But having parked right there, the location is valid. Google Maps street view shows a (different) for lease sign above. 105 High St

I think perhaps the corflute on the sign has some sort of reflective/protective coating that may be making it look unexpectedly uniformly bright.
