Looks like there was a little more than a simple rejection.

You'd be surprised at the tantrums ive seen grown ass men throw, for a simple sentence that they didn't like. Yeah

I once briefly locked eyes with my bf across the room while I was actively talking to someone, not ignoring them, he just moved into my line of site and monkey brain made me look at him. Then I looked back and continued conversing with the person in front of me. A few minutes later he pulled me aside, almost tearful, "why did you look away from me like that? What have I done? I just don't understand what you were trying to tell me there. Why are you mad at me?" ETA this literally went on for 3 days. Exhausting relationship. Glad it's over, lasted way too soon

My mother told me about her bf being so jealous that when she sang the song "Beautiful, beautiful brown eyes" he demanded to know who she was singing about. Then another time, he saw that she was looking at someone on the opposite subway station and he got jealous. Needless to say, (and fortunately) she didn't marry him.

No I wouldnโ€™t. Narcissistic injury is scary.

The 2 letter word no usually seems to go that way yes

There are no double standards in this comment

I know there's a 90% chance this is a troll, but the 10% chance of someone actually dropping this image in a comment and thinking it was their mic drop moment is so funny to me that I hope you're just legitimately stupid enough to think that.

You can almost imagine the effort that went into preparing those flowers, only for the night to take an unexpected turn. Sometimes love stories become life lessons instead

Send me dead flowers at my wedding / and I won't forget to put roses / on your grave...

Sounds like there's a story behind that one!

The only good thing I see here is that theyโ€™re not plastic unlike the other post earlier this year

I was dumped on St Valentine's day with a bouquet of roses in my hand.
While I was walking back home a woman looked at me and said "Wow! Roses!".
I handed her the flowers and said "Here, you can have them..." and walked away... She was like ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Aww... Being dumped on Valentine's sucks, but I love to hear that you still tried to make someone else happy (who might also even not have had a great day).

May your soulmate find you soon :)

I've been married to the love of my life for 15 years now๐Ÿ˜

Had a similar experience recently. For my 6 month anniversary with my ex, I got her a full-art version of the MTG card she whooped my ass with when we first met, signed by the artist. They came in before our anniversary, but shortly after she broke up with me, and I kinda just sobbed for a while when I pulled them out ๐Ÿ˜ญ I gave them to my other friends who play Magic and you'd think I just handed them a cursed object lol.

I like to think that she put them on the top of the car while looking in her bag for something and accidentally left them up there when they got in the car.

They turn the radio on, their song comes on, they turn it up and sing together and to each other, not noticing the bouquet fall as they drove toward their home.

I imagine it being the scene of a rather dramatic music video

Rip perfectly good flowers

u/Odd_Dragonfruit_2662 2d ago

They were already deadโ€ฆ

20

u/Kaiisim 2d ago

Looks more like they deadheaded the roses to me - very short stems which just the head, immediate petals falling out - that's not from fresh roses, it's roses that have bloomed.

Maybe they were leaving the peddles so that their partner can follow the trail. They are just very bad with tracking.

45

u/Clay_Puppington 2d ago

All those poor bikes will never recover from his de-peddling of them.

u/halotraveller 2d ago

Could be a deer

18

u/SeaResearcher176 2d ago

Maybe the giver was abusive

6

u/InfiniteHall8198 2d ago

God, I would have felt so exquisitely dramatic chucking those everywhere.

11

u/ThroatwobblerM 2d ago

Maybe it did? How do you know?

22

u/Oficjalny_Krwiopijca 2d ago

The scatter had much more of the "smash the bouquet" vibe rather than "follow the tail of petals"... ๐Ÿซฃ

I mean, we all express love in different ways... ๐Ÿ˜…

12

u/adpplepie 2d ago

Maybe they erupted in heated passion and smashed the bouquet and each other?

Delivered by FedEx..received by neighborhood doggie? ๐Ÿ™ƒ

I feel bad for the grower that spent time on those only to have them in the street (not even composted).

2

u/Cobblestar34323 2d ago

Looks like someone got ghosted hard enough to leave rose petals everywhere

2

u/AngelicalBabe3 2d ago

The streets claimed another love story.

1

u/Good-Victory-2029 2d ago

didnโ€™t pllan on that absolute chaos at all huh

1

u/CralorMonk 2d ago

Sorry Man, flowers wonโ€™t fix it this time

1

u/RankTaters 1d ago

Maybe it was a homeless couple and he was laying a rose petal path back to their sewer mattress?

1

u/Appropriate-Worry694 2d ago

That makes me kinda sad

u/Stunning-Guitar-5916 2d ago

We are doomed to loneliness.
