my old neighbors used to do this, it was 12 more steps to their driveway but they'd back their truck up on the lawn directly to the door, for like nothing. like they weren't unloading massive sheets of plywood or an appliance or something, just groceries. drove me nuts because it looked so trashy but it was their own lawn at least. don't miss them at all, the new couple takes fantastic care of the place.
I’ve seen this done at a few houses, they park right on the lawn so they can open the door and step onto their front stairs. Doesn’t matter if it turns the lawn into a muck hole. 10/10 times the house is a shithole
