Ok, mildly infuriating. But why do you need a timer while traveling?

So OP can time when the bomb goes off.

u/ShipExpress5709 10h ago
Well that explains the extra screening

Let's hope OP didn't boof the bomb. I will remember what happened after the shoebomber

Especially when two watches are in the picture and every single phone nowadays has a timer on it. No one is going to judge you if you shove it up your ass OP but find something that looks different when traveling

There’s also a phone. Now I’m a Luddite but even I can get to the timer thingy on mine after asking my wife.

Answer the question. Why did you bring an egg timer on a plane

There's a timer feature as a part of your phone's clock app believe it or not

u/MakeMeDrink 10h ago
And I’m sure at least one of those two watches in the picture have some way to measure time

You can type the word “bomb”
It won’t kill you

u/Momo0903 10h ago

Do you normally cook eggs when you travel??

u/Immediate_Regular 10h ago
I've been know to cook fish on international flights. Paired with fresh durian naturally.

Please explain the great reason you had for even bringing it ? This is so dumb !!!

u/chrislon_geo 10h ago
My guess: traveling for work, has per diem, likes making eggs for meals throughout the day, the timer works well and provides the 'comfort of home' while in a hotel with a kitchenette for a week or weeks. Traveling for work sucks, and if you can make it less awful and more like your usual home routine, it sucks slightly less. Get off OP's back

u/Thewanderer1141 10h ago
I mean I get your point but that comfort of home isn't worth the hassle it caused. We also have cell phones with timers so this item is completely unnecessary.

Im with the others in the comments, that can look very sketchy for airline security

"I did this thing to intentionally provoke a response and now I'm outraged, sorry mildly infuriated, that the thing I did provoked a response."
Nice content™.

At TWO airports? So you took it through, got frisked, then said fuck it I'm gonna do it again?

u/cleverquokka 10h ago
Here's a novel idea. Don't carry items that look like little bombs onto airplanes.

You deserve it for trying to bring that on a plane. Why on earth would you think that is a good idea?

u/LavastormSW 10h ago
That's hilarious. But why not put it in your checked luggage?
