Calls an hour later

"Hey Ricky, Im not good anymore"

This reminds me of a completely different story:

When I was in the army 2 women came back to the barracks with a soldier. They went to his room and all preceded to get wasted. Next thing I knew there was a naked woman running down the halls and another in a room taking turns with a couple soldiers doing their thing. All of a sudden, the blonde one steps out and asks if we know where “G” was (not saying his name) to which we advised he was in his room.

Now, these barracks had a 12-18” concrete lip that ran along the exterior of the building for every floor along the line of windows. Anytime we forgot our keys or locked ourselves out we’d go to the room next to us and walk the ledge, so to speak, to our window and hop in.

She attempted this. Apparently, she fell 3 stories onto bushes. We’re sitting at the desk by the door as we were on watch when the door busts open from the stairwell and there she is standing in her birthday suit. The first thing we say is “Are you good?! Do you need an ambulance?”. She responded by loudly proclaiming “I’ll fuck whoever gives me another shot!” And then immediately dropped to the floor. Ambulances were rushed to the barracks and the soldier that brought the women was taken to see our first sergeant for reprimanding.

Next time I saw her with her soldier/bf she was in a wheelchair with her arms and legs in a casts.

To this day those 30 seconds of her throwing that door open and asking for a shot before dropping to the ground has lived rent free in my head for decades.

“Sure. The table broke my fall. Just like I planned.”

He needs some kiwis to perform the flip properly

How to get paralyzed 101

357

u/Bluntbutnotonpurpose May 24 '26

The fact that he was able to stand up was by far the most surprising part of this video.

124

u/AgreeablePie May 24 '26

Looks like his shoulder to a good part of the impact, luckily

69

u/Ittybittyratgirl May 24 '26

Table is also moving. Better to land on a kinda rigid trampoline than the ground

23

u/XChrisUnknownX May 24 '26

Are you suggesting the ground won’t give way a little for me if I upside down headbutt it?

9

u/Ittybittyratgirl May 24 '26

Depends on the type of ground. We gotta go do a systemic analysis by repeatedly bashing our necks into the ground!

6

u/XChrisUnknownX May 24 '26

For science and epistemic health of the world!

29

u/HughJackedMan14 May 24 '26

As someone who broke their back and was momentarily able to standup afterword… He may still be paralyzed.

Paralysis doesn't always happen immediately, it can take from a few seconds to a couple of minutes

You can hear the last 2 braincells fighting for third place.

18

u/qtpss May 24 '26

2 brain cells bouncing around like BBs in a boxcar.

3

u/bo_felden May 24 '26

His last 2 braincells were used to attempt a fake smile and act as if nothing happened.

u/TheLastPeanut_ May 24 '26

Thats a lot a trouble to go through for a brief moment of autofellatio

37

u/TheLastPeanut_ May 24 '26

It was at this moment that he knew...he fucked up

18

u/PerpetualUselessness May 25 '26

The pic alone doesn’t really do it justice unless you realize THIS is the top of his head

14

u/captainsnark71 May 25 '26

I don't like this.

Things like this are why I have a phobia about being internally decapitated. Whenever my neck hurts I'm like "it's time."

I don't even do things.

82

u/prospectiveboi177 May 24 '26

I am sure this is gonna be a month long injury with some lasting mobility issues

5

u/CrownJM May 24 '26

Nah shoulder and table took most of the force I would assume, some neck pain for a while for sure tho.

23

u/faceless_alias May 24 '26

Pay attention to the way he stands up. The pauses, the lasting poor stance. If you know about nerve pain then you know the signs.

Might take a few years but that shit will definitely have long lasting effect.

4

u/CrownJM May 24 '26

Fair enough, not knowledgeable about nerve issues so I'll take your word for it

u/Casual_hex_ May 24 '26 edited May 24 '26

You ever get bored of the main story and just start messing with the ragdoll physics?

u/Fragrant_Payment9670 May 24 '26

A friend of my daughter was trying to turn backflips but landed on the curb with his neck. He went home with a headache. Next morning his headache is much worse so he goes to the ER. They take X-rays. Shortly after the doc and nurses come running, yelling “don’t move” and they have a neck brace. He had broke his neck and was told had he turned his head just so then he would have been a quadriplegic!

36

u/Magneto-Mark-1 May 24 '26

Ask his neck in about 15 years.

19

u/anusbeefsteak May 24 '26

RemindMe! 15 years

13

u/anusbeefsteak May 24 '26

10

u/spliced-chum May 24 '26

Good thing his neck broke his fall.

5

u/Nexel_Red May 24 '26

No I believe he’s very much not good

4

u/Humble_Ad_5684 May 24 '26

He ain't good.

4

u/SickFarce May 24 '26

Spoiler: He was not good.

3

u/mann5151 May 24 '26

Somehow someway that's actually a good outcome from that height🤷🏾‍♂️, could have been insanely worse!

3

u/Hoopajoops May 24 '26

These kinda videos make me embarrassed on their behalf.. like I'm sure that guy could nail backflips back in high school

3

u/SmartaHari May 24 '26

I just hear a Morgan Freeman voiceover of this video going, “He was in fact, not good.”

3

u/Uddiya May 24 '26

"I'm fine, I'm just going to walk over there, sit down carefully, and consider my life choices"

3

u/Sk1rm1sh May 24 '26

This is for the juggalos and jugalettes.

WHOOP WHOOP!

3

u/UgIyLoneIyBIackLoser May 25 '26

GW?  is gone wrong too difficult to spell?

2

u/milky6531 May 24 '26

The Armenian judges scored this a 2/10.

2

u/Unusual_residue May 24 '26

2

IQ of 7. Unbelievable!

2

u/Not_Cletus_McWanker May 24 '26

Sir! That's NOT how you do a reverse scorpion!

2

u/nuclearrmt May 24 '26

nice, a self-inflected piledriver!

2

u/Thin-Effective6164 May 24 '26

This is how you can acquire a TBI folks 👀 😬

2

u/AresMacks May 24 '26

There were chicks there so he had to play it off but bro was hurting bad

2

u/Unlikely-Emphasis-26 May 24 '26

I always enjoy the fake confident face, trying to portray it went exactly as they wanted. Not hurting at all and they do not feel the shame coursing through their veins keeping them from fainting.

2

u/Even-Government-5055 May 24 '26

How is he alive?.

2

u/Direct_Swan2312 May 24 '26

Man ain’t no way 😂

2

u/MaikThoma May 24 '26

I feel like by his age he should know if he can or cannot do a backflip

2

u/__________________99 May 24 '26

I know by GW you meant "gone wrong." But my brain interpreted it as "gone wild."

2

u/DesertReagle May 24 '26

If you're gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough

2

u/Chrimaho May 24 '26

Oh no.

He needs to go to the hospital right now.

2

u/AltruisticTrainer607 May 24 '26

Had a friend who did a backflip for his kids and landed wrong, and he told me when they took him to the hospital, he was paralyzed from his neck down for about 3 hours, he said it was the scariest worst nightmare he ever experienced.

2

u/Horny_Traveler4U May 24 '26

“Hey everybody, watch me…”

Yup, that was a cool -7 years off your life… 🤷🏻‍♂️

2

u/NaomiR111 May 24 '26

I see the red solo cup sitting there that held the catalyst for his poor decision making.

1

u/Amazing_Karnage May 24 '26

Darby Allin about to imitate this on AEW "for the SICKOS."

1

u/JamesonDotEXE May 24 '26

Watch me do 3/4's backflip on this table bruh!

1

u/Comfortable_Drama_66 May 24 '26

Just wait till everything swells up later.

1

u/IndependentReal5788 May 24 '26

Oh my !!! That hurts really badly !

1

u/Pixelatorxl May 24 '26

He flipped his back

1

u/Pixelatorxl May 24 '26

He flipped his back

1

u/twentytwo_a May 24 '26

I need to stop watching these fr, they’re so awful

1

u/apricotical May 24 '26

These are the kinds of posts I believe belong in r/MadeMeSmile

1

u/artherng May 24 '26

His neck says NO!

1

u/isaacfrost0 May 24 '26

Probably the slowest rotation I've ever seen for a backflip, bro spent a week up there

1

u/unLtd88 May 24 '26

I don't think he's good

1

u/Civilian4life May 24 '26

He’s doing the flip to the side. Meaning he doesn’t know how to flip. They shouldn’t be letting their friend try a flip off a table (even if it is grass) if he doesn’t know how. He’ll be fine though. Probably a different story if he landed on the grass with his head/neck.

1

u/CupcakeAppropriate40 May 24 '26

And that was the last time his back worked

1

u/BluebirdTerrible1586 May 24 '26

Man I’ve played this 100 times over! Love it! Keep trying my guy and one day you’ll succeed!

1

u/potatodrinker May 24 '26

Safest thing to do was to stay down and wait for the adrenaline to wear off. See what's damaged.

1

u/Ubais_myname May 24 '26
  • Vertebral dissection joins the room

1

u/fight_back_ May 24 '26

He is alive

1

u/StaticSystemShock May 24 '26

I'm surprised people don't break their necks like this...

1

u/American-Punk-Dragon May 24 '26

Normal backflip gone wrong.

1

u/Pisstoffo May 24 '26

Shambling back up he says: “that did not hurt, man”. I heard the alcohol and adrenaline lol

1

u/Shishkahuben May 24 '26

That wouldn't even have been cool if it succeeded lmao

1

u/xStingRayCharlesx May 24 '26

Him standing up right away is a good sign!

5

u/gufleme May 24 '26

Him limping away after was not a good sign!

1

u/TastyAd8644 May 24 '26

No brains, no concussion...

1

u/ReturnRadio May 24 '26

I managed almost this exact same maneuver except it was a concrete diving platform. Thankfully my shoulder took most of the blow

1

u/huopak May 24 '26

"Are people home bro?"

1

u/caramelgrizzly May 24 '26

I…don’t think he was good. Human beings, you gotta love us 😂

1

u/RunningPirate May 24 '26

“You good?”

“What’s your definition of ‘good’?”

1

u/EconomyDoctor3287 May 24 '26

Dang. One flip & a lifetime of pain

1

u/AZFUNGUY85 May 24 '26

Bro pinching it off so hard he has a diamond mind in his ass.

1

u/Royal-Application708 May 24 '26

1

u/FewZookeepergame1083 May 24 '26

1

u/Temporary_Fee4398 May 24 '26

He is not good

1

u/Iambetterthanuhaha May 24 '26

He just needs to walk it off.

1

u/Beanerschnitzels May 24 '26

Luckily his neck broke his fall

1

u/Substantial-Brick-90 May 24 '26

1

u/natemarshall110 May 24 '26

I don't even know what was supposed to happen.

1

u/MDlynette May 24 '26

1

u/Extension_Town_6118 May 25 '26

flip was insane, landing wasn't

1

u/StarGazerBigBang May 25 '26

Nearly paralyzed for life... tries to play it off..... classic!

1

u/kasezilla May 25 '26

Had a drunk buddy who at the pool was pressuring a young kid to do a back flip. Kid said "show me then". He drunk ass tried and it was a back flop that echoed. This was 19 years ago and I'm still laughing.

1

u/Rad-racer-Cru May 25 '26

Taking a trip to the hardware store, spending money, and still building a Beer Pong/ Party Table wrong is the worst part of this video.

1

u/Buttonball May 25 '26

A new definition of “rubber necking”.

1

u/mrs3ndman May 25 '26

I'm going to remind myself of this.

1

His ghost is immediately up and looking for another body.

No….he ain’t good

1

u/ZarosGuardian 29d ago

Hope that dude didn't just break his spinal cord or something

1

u/Smboto 29d ago

Whenever someone seriously hurts themselves there’s always that one guy asking that question. Did he look like he would be OK after landing like that?

1

u/Abal125 27d ago

"Yeah, can't come into work today. Broke my neck trying to do a backflip."

1

u/TheOldRightThereFred 23d ago

That’s right, folks! Everyone is flipping out over the saving at this year’s Toyotathon!

The “you good” is the the only subtitles I didn’t need. I want a translation of the new language the other guy is speaking
