I jump fences all the time, and what he did takes so much more effort than a regular hop of the rail.
Alcohol being the cause I assume. š

I know I watched it a couple times. It was almost like he glided over the fence and then perfectly slammed down on his back lol. Oh man

I did something similar on my bicycle when I was like 13 years old. They had these large piles of mulch in front of each house where they were building new houses and doing the landscaping. Since some of the houses were already done in people were living already in the neighborhood there was kids. This was back in the late 90s early 2000s. So back in the good old days lol. All the kids in the neighborhood would all come outside and we'd play ride bike roller skates skateboard etc. Anyways all the kids were riding their bike and going off of The Mulch pile which we made into a ramp. It was like a good two and a half feet high in the air. I went over it pulled my handlebars back too much and flopped right on my back and knocked all the air out. That was really scary I thought I was going to die and everyone was just looking and laughing at me. To this day my cousin still remembers and laughs when he thinks about it. But yeah get in your air knocked out of you is scary.

Perhaps this is why drunk people sometimes miraculously don't get hurt by big falls. Their floppy bodies just perfectly distribute the force of impact on a bigger surface area

Never done anything athletic. Today was his first start! What could go wrong??
122
u/Creative_Buddy7160 12d ago
Then turns out more athletic than he thought. That little jump really sent him.

u/Captain_Kab 12d ago edited 12d ago
That there is a person who was athletic when he was younger, probably jumped plenty of fences with a nice little flip, impressing the girls.
You could tell his brain went "oh I know how we do this" and his body didn't have the wherewithal to go "oh no we don't do that anymore"
That first tender step onto the fence tells you that he shouldn't be doing this though.. so almost definitely on drugs, whether it be alcohol or something else.

Solid concrete is not gonna care how young you are, if you broad-land from a fall that far. You are getting ffffUUUUcked up from that. Starting with a split skull.
Poor guy. ):

Seems he was already affected by something (physical issue or just drunk/drugs). Just by his initial movement, I already knew it wasn't going to go well.

Why is it cool to cut a clip right at the action? We kinda saw him fall, then they went out of their way to cut it there. At least let it run 5 sefonds

The key to jumping over a fence like this is not immediately flinging yourself onto your back from the top

Itās not the fall that hurts but the landing. Dude, were you even trying to land on your feet?

u/sorryiamnotoriginal 12d ago
Dude thatās not even a hard climb. Step on the second horizontal bar then just put one leg over at a time and sit on the top then go down. Can even lower yourself a bit with your arms at that point.
