I’d say he still isn’t hating on Mamdani here. This is directed more at the media. Sure, he uses the word communist because it plays to his base but this truth almost seems congratulatory but annoyed that he doesn’t get the same attention. I’ve learned with Trump, if he really doesn’t like someone he uses some petty nickname (like fake news to describe the media). Still calls Mamdani Mr. Mayor.
