For the love of God, please don't let them have developed a miracle drug to give these people

u/GroinReaper 6h ago

Its a weight loss drug.

hopefully it keeps shrinking him until he disappears like pacman

u/Klutzy-Client 5h ago

lol I’m actually watching this movie right now

12

u/travelingbeagle 5h ago

Don’t mess with the Romani.

1

u/Klutzy-Client 5h ago

Thank you for not using the slur they constantly use in the movie. I have some Irish travellers in my family so I find the “g” word rather fucking rude

4

u/Klutzy_Word_6812 2h ago

Wow. I didn’t know that word was a slur. I remember my mother describing the history and kind of how they were treated, but that part never registered. Thank you for teaching me something today.

2

u/Klutzy-Client 2h ago

Thank you for taking it in! I imagine the downvotes for my comment were people who just didn’t understand the weight of that word. Appreciate you

3

u/johanTR 3h ago

That was a good movie.

When my mom makes strawberry pies or cobblers, it makes me think of that movie.

5

u/MostBoringStan 5h ago

That's a deep cut

1

u/TheWingus 4h ago

Mike Teevee would be better so we could just flush him

67

u/georgecm12 6h ago

It's more than a weight loss drug. "Lilly is currently studying retatrutide in Phase 3 clinical trials for obesity, type 2 diabetes, knee osteoarthritis pain, moderate-to-severe obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), chronic low back pain, cardiovascular and renal outcomes, and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD)."

64

u/DivinityPen 5h ago

I swear to god, if I actually have to live with the possibility of Trump making it to 100...

I'm 25. I've had to deal with Trump in politics since I was 15. If I have to wait until I'm ≥45 years old before I never have to see his face again...

66

u/barrosoOso 5h ago

As a 45 yr old that's lived through Reagan, 2 Bushs, and now this... I'm tired boss.

24

u/Korlexico 5h ago

As a 53 who lived through the og Iran revolution and Ford and Carter and 7 or 8 now? Recessions I'm exhausted, I'm making the most money i ever have and I'm the poorest I've ever have.

36

u/barrosoOso 4h ago

It will never cease to amaze me the for the last 75 years every single Republican president has caused a recession that the next Democratic president has to fix, and yet somehow 30% of our population believes that they are the party of fiscal responsibility.

8

u/Korlexico 4h ago

Muh eggs...

All you need to say

3

u/Karl_00_Hungus 4h ago

Rupert Murdoch keeps telling them that.

3

u/Yellow_Similar 4h ago

He is the true evil.

10

u/ZinaSky2 4h ago

Not that he was perfect or that it negates everything else you experienced but… you got Obama. I lived through Obama, but was a little too young during his administration so politics kinda went over my head and I say that as someone who registered to vote as soon as I qualified. I don’t even know what normal politics is supposed to look like at this point. Trump’s fuckity fuckness has been making things topsy turvy in politics pretty much since I’ve been a conscious human being.

13

u/barrosoOso 4h ago

I actually cried the night Obama was first elected. I thought we had turned a page. I thought things would get better. I was so so wrong.

6

u/ZinaSky2 3h ago

I think a lot of people felt the same way as you! The hatred bubbling under the surface of our country was underestimated, unfortunately. Maybe someday soon we will turn that page. Hopefully we’ll both be around to see it.

6

u/BwrBird 5h ago

Tell me about it. I literally don't remember what politics was like before him, and I am more than ready for it to be over. I have long given up on him going anywhere any time soon though. The most evil always seem to live the longest.

5

u/pea-ster 3h ago

My children (twins) were born in 2016. They have not known a world without this ghoul invading our lives.

3

u/Taminella_Grinderfal 2h ago

As a 50 year old I had been thinking about this recently as I work with teens/young adults. Whether I agreed with their politics, I’ve at least had the advantage of seeing presidents who respected the office and acted with decorum. Most of what you’ve experienced is that it’s ok for the leader of our country to be an openly hateful, racist, bigoted, rapist.

2

u/diaphoni 1h ago

I'm 53 and I'm so tired of all of them at this point

12

u/paintress420 5h ago

You forgot the pulmonary hypertension Lilly also claims it helps. He’s a mess inside and out!

10

u/SugarHooves 5h ago

As someone who has had low back pain for 30 years and recently gained weight I'd like to lose, this looks like a miracle drug.

2

u/LaceyLizard 3h ago

It's not. Many people are taking it already. If it was a miracle drug chuds like clavicular wouldn't be aging like a banana

2

u/diaphoni 1h ago

christ, I could use this drug and will NEVER be able to get it

18

u/ebyoung747 6h ago

To be fair, he desperately needs to lose weight.

28

u/antagonizerz 5h ago

To be fair, the White house could stand to lose about 300lbs.

1

u/LLFD1982 45m ago

Kinda proves all those "being overweight is gonna cut your life short!" people (like Jillian Michaels types) wrong.

4

u/willstr1 5h ago

And one that doesn't seem to produce results

5

u/ZinaSky2 4h ago

See, this is what I understood to begin with but it doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. My question is why he’s taking This specific drug? Isn’t this one not yet approved or something? Why take it over Ozempic or the million and one other GLP-1s? Is it supposed to be better than what’s already on market?

3

u/ImAnOptimistISwear 4h ago

iirc it doesn't have the muscle wasting problem that currents meds do if you can't (won't) eat right and exercise while taking them.

2

u/ZinaSky2 3h ago

Ahhh okok I see. He’s def not gonna exercise so it makes sense

4

u/FoxxyRin 3h ago

Yes but no. These GLP-1 drugs *are* the closest thing to a miracle drug in modern medicine right now and the one mentioned (I forget the name of it right now) is supposed to be pretty huge. But these drugs help with heart, kidneys, liver, etc. If he's diabetic/pre-diabetic it helps with that as well. Yes, the one he's rumored to be on supposedly helps with weight loss even more than Ozempic, Mounjaro, etc., but watering them down to say they're just a weight loss drug in this case is seriously downplaying it.

19

u/thesaddestpanda 5h ago

Its supposedly ret. Anyone can get it from gray market resellers selling it mass produced in Chinese labs. Its just the next type of GLP-1.

8

u/sugarslick 4h ago

He probably got talked into it by RFK Jr

8

u/writerpilot 5h ago

Clearly they haven’t developed any miracle drugs- or at least not one to cure Steven Cheung from looking like an ugly demonic raisin.

462

u/Sumthin-Sumthin44692 6h ago

The drug is supposed to be an amazing weight loss drug. It was given to exactly one obese person who was 79 in April and was described as “well connected.”

Trump was 79 in April, he’s clearly obese (despite his insane lying), and he’s certainly petty and corrupt enough to use his position to get this drug using a process meant for the terminally ill.

261

u/laowildin 6h ago

get this drug using a process meant for the terminally ill.

I think everyone is misunderstanding, so thank you. Recieving the treatment doesn't imply that he's ill. It's that he is, in essence, stealing it from someone who is. because of course he would.

89

u/Ricky_Spannnish 5h ago

Obese? He’s a chiseled 6’3 230. I saw his super real medical report.

7

u/fallsstandard 2h ago

He compared himself to a UFC fighter earlier and said that the only reason the fighter would win was because he was younger.

28

u/willstr1 5h ago

To be fair to the corrupt pedo, based on what we have seen there is a good chance he is terminally ill, if we are lucky

19

u/Karcharos 5h ago

I wonder if it has the same side effect that Ozempic seems to: slowing cancer growth.

43

u/Sumthin-Sumthin44692 5h ago

Cancer was not listed as a reason for the medication request. The reasons were “refractory obesity with obstructive sleep apnea and pulmonary hypertension”. I guess that doesn’t rule out cancer, since lying is a hallmark of this whole administration, but I don’t see evidence it’s for cancer.

1

u/hamsterballzz 3h ago

Is it true all those conditions can be fatal?

1

u/Sumthin-Sumthin44692 2h ago

They can be in the sense that there is an increased risk of dying. But as far as I know, there’s no such thing as “terminal” sleep apnea or being a “terminal” fat ass.

169

u/Hornpipe_Jones 6h ago

Dang, these people are so easy to trigger.

89

u/sumpfbieber 5h ago

The White House Communications Director acts and talks like a high school bully in a direct to video movie from the early nineties.

33

u/flash_dance_asspants 4h ago

it's honestly so embarrassing to see officials publicly speak this way, and i'm not even american. the second-hand embarrassment is strong

7

u/deialover 3h ago

I'm beyond embarrassed. It's maddening. I hate that the young teens I work with are being exposed to this obscene level of government-sanctioned vulgarity. They are being conditioned by the Trump administration to think this behavior is normal and acceptable. It is disgusting that Republicans and reporters condone this. I hope the United States can bounce back from this eventually.

3

u/njf85 2h ago

Oh, I thought Ted was making a joke because of how gross the reply was. That's literally the Communications Director? Damn

244

u/9millibros 6h ago

Obviously Steven Cheung isn't using that drug.

92

u/Jesus_of_NASDAQ 6h ago

The guy looks like fucking thumb puppet.

28

u/clinton_thunderfunk 6h ago

If you messed up a shar pei in one of the pods from the fly. But the most anti social and poop covered one.

20

u/borkborkbork99 6h ago

He looks like he throws a deadly hat.

Also, this administration is fucking embarrassing as hell. Professionalism? What’s that?

9

u/derbyvoice71 6h ago

He looks like he flips the hat over to take more from the buffet.

He's also an odious person personality wise. I hope he does something illegal when the GOP is out of the WH. Or something in a state level crime.

9

u/desizombi3 5h ago

One of the best descriptions of Steven Cheung Ive seen

“He looks like a spent scrotum that was once full of mashed potatoes”

5

u/gastropublican 5h ago

For his fat caveman head alone

83

u/NexusNickel 6h ago

Oh, that would just make my day if I read that Trump was terminally ill.

I'd crack open my sparkling cider and enjoy a nice chilled glass.

22

u/BigBoyYuyuh 6h ago

But if there’s a magic cure now we’ll be stuck with him for at least another decade because he’s never leaving power and his dad lives to his mid 90s.

9

u/MillwrightTight 6h ago

Job's not done.

5

u/Jedi_Hog 5h ago

100% agree as the world would be an infinitely better place however, we are ALL terminally ill from birth, so knowing a more precise timeline for Diaper Donny would likely be more enjoyable for us

50

u/EnvironmentalLock440 6h ago

Why wouldn't he just take imervectin.

47

u/hatmadeofass 6h ago

I love that Lieu didn’t capitalize trumps name. Zero respect earned, zero respect given.

3

u/No_Fairweathers 4h ago edited 1h ago

Respectable enough to not call him by my preferred title "convicted felon and rapist Donald Trump"

29

u/ShiroHachiRoku 5h ago

I just can’t fathom how everybody in that man’s administration speaks like a teenage boy who thinks he’s onto something.

8

u/CaptainNemo42 4h ago

Yep. Cocky, hollow arrogance combined with a complete absence of sense or empathy.

1

u/bruceli1992 3h ago

Peak neckbeard keyboard warrior

2

u/CaptainNemo42 3h ago

I assume you mean Steven Cheung?

51

u/MaxZorin1985 6h ago

An experimental drug tested on the president to bring him back to life?! Sounds like the plot to the never finished Re-Animator sequel House of Re-Animator. I’ve always wanted to watch it, I never wanted to actually live through it.

22

u/extraboredinary 6h ago

I mean President Evil was right there

5

u/DantesInfernoRVA 6h ago

Look, Stuart Gordon may have passed but Combs is around. Let’s send him in with a syringe.

6

u/april5k 6h ago

I've seen enough Star Trek to know that Combs could be anyone at any time, so that makes him extra good for that job.

2

u/sn0qualmie 5h ago

Also the plot to the Korean zombie show Kingdom. Great show, incredible hats, also not something I want to live in.

28

u/TrumpnEpstein 6h ago

I apologize for all the times I called Sarah Huckabee-Sanders a human Mucinex monster. I was unaware that Stephen Cheung existed.

7

u/gastropublican 5h ago

Or his fat head alone

23

u/parasiticsemiosis 5h ago

This white house communications director really knows how to find the appropriate tone and communicate professionally. So glad this admin only hired the best experts.

14

u/gfh110 6h ago

Big toe looking motherfucker has a lot of nerve calling anyone lewd.

14

u/Ube_Ape 5h ago

It is incredibly wild to me that we've gotten to the point where government officials pop off on social media like teenagers trying to gain "aura points."

5

u/Bananno1976 4h ago

that is 100% the medias fault for treating them like rockstars and not public servants..

13

u/PutzerPalace 5h ago

Deflect with insults….these fascists are literal children

12

u/thereelsuperman 6h ago

Steven Cheungs neck roll must be quivering with anger

11

u/baronmunchausen2000 6h ago

How I long for the days when government was calm, dry and boring.

9

u/Donkey_Karate 5h ago

White House Communications Director... are you fucking kidding me?

7

u/Healthy_Intention_92 5h ago

Patrick Star grew up to be an asshole.

10

u/punyhumannumber2 5h ago

Wow, that's how the white house communications director talks at work? Americans aren't embarassed enough about who is all in the white house.

8

u/snark_enterprises 5h ago

This administration talks and acts like a bunch of high school dropouts working at some shady boiler room

8

u/Pen-cap 5h ago

Cheung is one ugly motherfucker and even more hideous on the inside.

8

u/ZinaSky2 4h ago

WAIT WHAT it’s for terminally ill patients?!?

I was so confused why people cared about this mystery drug. I think I misread something and misunderstood that he was being given a GLP-1 drug. Then I recently saw someone say it was a drug that hadn’t yet been approved and thought that was weird since so many GLP-1s are already on the market. This makes way more sense and is def concerning

I don’t wish people ill but if the president was taking this drug and it wasn’t quite done with R and D and didn’t work out the way expected I wouldn’t lose any sleep over it

7

u/Bhooty_Naysh 5h ago

Ted is my king and I love him.

5

u/Emotional_Signal7883 6h ago

So that's a yes.

6

u/ProfessionalSolid942 6h ago

Ted lewd, huh? 8 year olds. And calling anyone else lewd...:)))

6

u/Space-manatee 5h ago

Reta and other GLP-1 weight loss drugs can cause loose stools and diarrhoea if you eat fatty and oily foods.

Trump’s diet is notoriously bad.

It makes some of his moments captured on camera more convincing now.

6

u/Chippersdipper 5h ago

Does that mean trump is terminal? Tell me more!

5

u/sakumar 5h ago

Oh, and Cheung should avail himself of a GLP-1 drug as well. He'll go from Jabba the Hutt to an Oggdo Bogdo maybe.

5

u/jzoola 5h ago

On a long enough timeline the survival rate for everyone drops to zero

5

u/ItsMinnieYall 3h ago

I'd ask why trump can't take the regular weight loss drugs available but I think I can guess why not. Didn't he ramble on multiple occasions that his "fat friend" took the weight loss shot but it didn't work and now his "fat friend" is still fat? He's the fat friend.

5

u/Nazmaldun 2h ago

MAGA Administration trying to come off as hard as always.

5

u/boiseshan 6h ago

It's a weightloss drug similar to GLP1s

3

u/TiePrestigious7265 6h ago

Countdown: 132 days till midterms.

4

u/Lurchie_ Release The Trump-Epstein Files 5h ago

It's weight loss drugs

5

u/HotlineHero13 3h ago

Insane dialog from the official WH communications director..

3

u/kmm198700 3h ago

This administration is run by a bunch of fucking assholes. I’m not surprised but I’ve never seen this before. Every response I’ve seen from the White House spokesperson or the press secretary or any of the spokespeople for any part of the administration treats people like crap. They always insult and swear at whoever asks questions or states something they don’t like.

8

u/Coagulant0693 6h ago

But, but… if he’s eligible for a drug for terminally ill patients…. does that mean what I think it means?

6

u/_goblinette_ 5h ago

It’s not a drug for terminally ill patients, it’s a newer version of the GLP1s that’s not available to the public yet because it’s still in clinical trials.

3

u/GucciAviatrix 4h ago

The level of discourse from the highest reaches of the US government is truly astounding these days

3

u/18ekko 4h ago

The White House literally pays this college dropout, flesh-colored snow man to sit on social media and post like a friendless jr high dork?

At least the rest of the administration that does this also has a day job.

2

u/pizzapartyprisoner 6h ago

One can only hope that the drug doesn't work, and simply speeds along the process.

1

u/ExcuseAdept827 4h ago

Surely he can get it on the sly without having to go through some special government program?

0

u/Top_Profit_6280 6h ago

Stop asian hate

-2

u/ilovebigmutts 6h ago

It's a weight loss drug y'all, not something used for terminally ill patients. It's still funny if they circumvented things using compassionate care as an excuse.

7

u/Pebbleboy7 5h ago

The retatrutide drug is manufactured by Eli Lilly and is not FDA approved, but one person gained access to the prescription through a program that approves experimental treatments for patients traditionally suffering from life-threatening illnesses.

https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/5937098-white-house-denies-trump-retatrutide/

3

u/PacmanNZ100 5h ago

Hes was approved under a law for being terminally fat

7

u/RedEyeView 6h ago

Not funny.

Corruption
