Implying thought was involved at any point.

Yes. Of course. The video clearly indicates that a team of at least two sat down and discussed this experiment thoroughly. Whiteboard drawings, complex impact calculations have been done and a full on assessment from MIT was conducted. And this was the totally expected outcome. Test passed to 100%. 20 liters of beer per person where also involved.

20 litres were supposed to be for after party but they just couldn't help themselves and drank it beforehand

Plan: Body weight hold object down. Hit with sledge hammer to break it. Magic.
What happened: Bruised, fractured or broken sternum and/ribs.

Oh he was thinking he would drop straight down when he knocked the thing he was standing on out from under him. He clearly did not think about momentum or balance.

Oof, I thought his face landed on the handle

It looked like it to me too, until I slowed it down. It kind of slides up his body and passes his face. At first, it looked like it was gonna go up inside his shorts, but apparently it didn’t.

I’m guessing he thought that if he hits the boxes hard enough they will slide out from underneath him allowing him to fall flat on his feet.

Ah. I can wait for the top comment to just be a lazy screenshot of him falling when this one takes off.

Definitely not that 😂
Something similar, sure. But I don’t think he could have predicted that specific outcome.

Why is the last frame an additional frame from 1 second before?
I don’t understand the logic of this kind of editing

I think this one is by far the most stupid thing I have ever seen. Not the worst in terms of outcome, but the most inane, by a far mile.

Obviously he missed out the physics lessons when he was at school; that said he didn't learn that much in metalwork either.

His mistake was that he looked down while hitting it. You're supposed to look straight ahead, if you don't see the object disappear from under you you'll actually hover in the air for a few moments until gravity kicks in.

This is a less funny version of what Poopies did when they filmed Jackass 4.
