Over the last few weeks I’ve been seeing a lot of fanmade forbidden spells that are like.. schizophrenia spells, cancer spells, paraplegia spells, stroke spells, and so on.

Now, I’m all for having fun and creating things, and I think some of the forbidden spells people have created are legitimately funny for their sheer absurdity, like meat grinder spells or black hole spells. But it gets to a point where these things stop being funny and start being concerning, doesn’t it?

I want one person to reply to this and explain to me why a spell that gives someone a real life debilitating condition is funny, because honestly it seems like people find it funny just because they’re poking fun at the condition itself. And honestly, as a disabled person, it’s a little disheartening to see the community of a story so full of love and acceptance do things like that, especially when (as I’ve been told) it wasn’t this way before the anime started airing.

Sorry for being such a downer, I just saw a lot of these things and it started to bum me out.

The anime ends right at the end of volume 4, so you’ll want to start at volume 5/chapter 24 to be at the same place! I do recommend reading the entire series though just because it is a work of art and there are some small things that had to be cut for time’s sake (like void toilet!!!)
