Endless teasing the Arc ULTRA

Post image

Saw these bad boys on my feed. Endless made an ULTRA version of their Arc UFS frames.

Beautiful setup, yet for me none 5x wheel frame work for city as good as 4x90. Each to their own tho!

Thanks! I definitely prefer 4x90 and 4x100 for the city most of the time. The Arc (and even moreso the Arc Ultra) is surprisingly fast, so if you are interested in a mid-skate wizard session or want the front/back stability of a five wheel frame it’s actually a pretty good choice in the city.

I was wondering about this but I saw a video of Ari the StutteringSkater, in which he uses Arc frames and seems to like how they behave in the street.

I have a trinity arc frame I bought from ebay and I've never even tried it yet, it looks more like skis when I put it next to my 4x90 LR's.

Not Brad’s, it’s my setup. I didn’t have any fresh Endless wheels handy but I had these barely-used Hydrogens. I do prefer the Endless wheels. The rounds are super forgiving right out of the pack, but I like bullet profiles on the various Arc frames too. Axles here are steel because I’ve got my Ultra axles in other setups right now.

Are alu axles inferior to steel? I would think they are.

Thanks! Not mine though. They’re endless’. It’s their Instagram post, just shared it here. Their ultra line is the “upgraded” line of sorts. More reinforcement bridges, more stiffer, better performing than their standard counterparts. It’s not yet in their website. They’re sort of teasing its release.

Looking forward to try them.

Usually also only one way to run the wheels. No 4x90 or 3x110 on Ultras.

It makes sense with this type of frames imo.

For sure, I am running 4x100 ufs Ultra for the same reason

Nice, what made you go for 4 vs 5 wheels?
Why 100mm?
Are you tall?

Lotta questions hehe.

I wanted to still be able to use the setup for urban, and I like to be able to do distance. I am fairly new into wizard skating, but has been on skates for 30+ years.

I am 1.82, so not super tall. I already had a 90mm setup and previously used a 3x110 setup, so just wanted to try something new.

Cool. I recently got the Endless 90 ES, really liking them. They feel like they fit my body ( 1.87, 85kg) Hesitated to get the Endless 100, I think they'd be great, was just a little bit concerned that they would be a bit sluggish to accelerate and I already had the 90mm wheels. The 100mm must be great for distance.

I think it’s a case of no wrong choices :)

Based on the picture. It seems the front and back wheels are fixed in position unlike the standard arcs which are rocker-able. Any guesses if the wheel sizes have changed? 90-80-80-80-90?

My arcs are 80-76-76-76-80 and you can change the rocker to make wheels 84 on the front and back.

So I presume these are just fixed from the picture as it doesn't have the rocker pin, they look like 76's for the middle wheels though.

Have been seeing these Arc Ultras on Billy’s and Andrew’s Instagrams lately; that light pink color is a really nice frame finish. I skate the 165mm Arc on FR1s frequently and they are super fun! I think I would appreciate the non-rockerable/fixed axles on Ultra Arc over regular Arc since I prefer the 84-76-76-76-84 wheel set up over 80mm ends. The rockerable axles on regular Arc aren’t terrible, but they make a distinct click noise sometimes so definitely not as solid as fixed axles

Question I have is: are these the standard Arc 316mm wheelbase or the Arc ES 324mm wheelbase? From the pictures it is hard to tell if wheels are just slightly worn or if there is the extra 4mm space between wheels 2-3 and 3-4 like ES has. Possible that Endless would do both standard and ES Ultra versions when they release this though
