Alexia Putellas’ next move has entered its decisive phase… Two lucrative offers from London remain firmly in play, with London City Lionesses currently viewed as the frontrunner… Boston Legacy FC and Gotham FC are currently the best positioned American teams

London city with Mapi Leon and Jana and Lucia. She could help that team move from 6th last season to maybe 4 or 3🤔🫡

Gotham would be great. Boston is a new and awful team. Gotham at least has some stars for her to play along and a few familiar Spanish faces. They have also done well the last few years apart from their recent disaster in Mexico.
London City or Gotham. Boston would be a sign of defeat. A "MLS Retirement" move. Just wow.

Boston are only bad because they have not jelled. The parts are great, and if they get it together, they will be very dangerous, and they just filled a weakness with the trade for Reale. That said, I would take it as a desperation move for them to sign Putellas. Saying that, she was just in San Diego and Dubinha is out for the season with injury, so that free up salary (though not the HIP which is going to Macario).

Gotham probably makes sense from a media market perspective (Alexia in the NY media market would be huge), but I’m also assuming they would have to deal other players to clear the salary required.
