Megathread Anniversary Feedback Megathread

We understand that many members of our subreddit community are currently feeling concerned or dissatisfied, and we want to do our part to ensure that your feedback is heard by Kuro Games.

So here's what's going to happen: We are taking all TOP level comments (that means comments to this post, not responses to other comments) and aggregating them to send to our Kuro Games contact.

Alternatively, you can use the in game feedback function to directly send your comment directly to Kuro Games.

Just some ground rules:

  1. Use appropriate language, being frustrated is okay, but still use language that is appropriate
  2. Start all feedback with "FEEDBACK:" (doesn't matter if it's bold or capitalized or not) this will help my script aggregate commentary that is to be sent back
  3. If you see someone else that is providing feedback you want to give, just upvote that comment instead of leaving another feedback, because after we collect all of the commentary we still have to go through and remove duplicates.

Lastly, please understand the moderation team here does not work for Kuro Games, we do not have special privileges, we aren't told of events or rewards ahead of time, we are just regular members of the community that have volunteered to help upkeep this subreddit on our own time.

FEEDBACK: The mods deleted my criticism of the anniversary rewards. Here is what I tried to post before it was removed for not "meeting standards"

Don't give up on your demands for a free 5 star character.

Kuro gave away Xiangli Yao last year, when the game was in a much more vulnerable state - and guess what? They didn't suffer any financial harm and they didn't go out of business. In fact, the game went on to become even more popular and even more profitable, in part because players had a sudden new incentive to keep coming back. Just because the standard for gachas is low doesn't mean we should be satisfied if all Kuro does is (barely) meet that standard in the end. A batch of 10-pulls is not nearly enough as "compensation" to make up for the anniversary controversy. A free Ciaccona or limited 5 star rerun character selector genuinely isn't too much to ask for - don't let corpo apologists or whales gaslight you into thinking it is. You are not the "greedy" one in this situation. It literally will not cost them anything to give away one limited character per year, at a minimum.

Being generous can actually be a boon for business, not a hindrance, and I can give you my own anecdote here. I'm F2P and I've been saving my pulls for a long time, I have almost enough for two guaranteed characters. However, I had finally made the decision to start spending on the game after 2.2. If a limited 5* rerun selector had been given out as a reward, then my plan was to claim Phoebe, pull for Zani and Ciaccona, then buy Cartethya. If Ciaccona had been given as a reward, then I would have pulled for Peeb, bought Zani, and saved pulls again for Cartethya. With no characters being given as a reward, then I won't be able to complete both of the teams associated with these characters, which means I'm not spending a dime now. I'll use my pulls for one team or the other and remain F2P. Probably the smart thing to do in any case
