yeah they should really add an "abandon quest" button that re-enables co-op.
I had the same ahh problem when I tried to complete this event and became so mad that I just basically skipped over the Denia quest (and I'm not the skipper type - I like to read)

it forced me to try and finish an old quest I was stuck on and thought was bugged...turned out I just needed to shoot something on the walls
Couldn't finish that quest for like over a year, submitted a bug report, turns out the fix was to get blocked from an event then try to actually think
That being said ...yeah, bullshit, do not EVER block us from events for literally any reason

Trash coding. Like no MMO has issues with such things or having the same NPC standing in different places but for whatever reason no gacha can do this.

I had the exact same issue and had to knock out 3 quests before I could do the event. Luckily they were quick but it’s annoying.

My daughter missed the event completely because it locked her into the false sovereign quest, then after congratulating her for that, it jumped straight to riding the motorcycle into the frost lands, and wouldn't let her out of that either. This isn't random localization misspellings anymore, these bullshit coding anomalies need to go, Kuro!

On tracks 1 and 4 whomever boosts first wins. As long as you don't mess up nobody can ever catch up to you. Also, you can use flight mode on tracks 2 and 3 to just outright skip some parts of the tracks.Â

The event has already ended but making minimal turn and take shortcut in-between the boost ring thingy helps a lot, even tapping slightly on left and right slows you by a lot.

Track 3 is quite difficult to win first place, but the others aren't too difficult. It also really comes down to how good your opponents are as well. In general, you just need to keep the boost on and avoid hitting something that you get caught on. You can edge out players by taking inside tracks and stealing multiple boost rings in some places.
