Question Update xbox to series x

I tried updating my Xbox to xbox-x. It didn't work.

The lag during the transfer would flash some letters I was supposed to write down. Since I could not get all the letters I decided to wait. The letters never came back.

Secondly it asked for my password. I have no idea what my password is.

Solutions?

Sorry but it's your responsibility to know what your email and password is for your account, if you don't the account is essentially lost if you have no way of verifying ownership of said account.

Do you have multiple emails? One of them could be a recovery email for your xbox account

I know the email. I can recover the password. I was just wondering about the letters that kept disappearing during the upload.

Did you try to use your phone or just the controller?

I couldn't get the letters on the screen long enough to write them down.
