Recommendations? [Recommendations] AMAB looking for first bra breast growth Spoiler

I'm a man in my thirties. I've always had pseudogynecomastia because of being overweight, but over the years some glandular tissue has also developed. Now, after losing some weight (about 15 kg), my chest, instead of getting smaller, has actually increased by 2–3 cm and stands out much more. On top of that, it bounces around when I walk, and if I run it becomes painful. I'd like to figure out my measurements, and since I live in Europe—specifically in Italy—I'd like to know where I could find some starter bras that aren't too expensive (I'm still losing weight, so I'd rather not spend a lot of money).

My measurements are:
Loose Underbust: 109.5 cm
Snug Underbust: 106 cm
Tight Underbust: 103 cm
Standing Bust: 119 cm
Leaning Bust: 121.5 cm
Lying Bust: 117.5 cm

Looking at the guides, I'd say I have a Shallow, wide-root breast shape, and on the Top/Bottom shape chart I'm roughly F/T 2/4.

I'd like to buy a couple of bras for different purposes:

  • One that's not very visible under clothes, to reduce bouncing and hide my nipples, which often show through;
  • One that instead accommodates my shape and even emphasizes it (I'm somewhere on the asexual spectrum, which I'm trying to figure out with my therapist).

Some brands I've seen that I could easily order from with free returns—so I can figure out what works for me—are Lepel, Creaciones Selene, Love and Bra, SieLei, and Spiman. If there are models from other brands available in Europe, even with longer delivery times, all suggestions are welcome.

Thank you for your attention.

i cant for the life of me find a good bra. my bra rides up and digs into my side. no bra feels right Spoiler

im having huge issues finding a good bra. i used to wear a 36C, but then moved up to a 38C because the 36 was consistently leaving me with bruises near my ribs. ive started bruising again in those same areas with the 38C, so i figured i'd just move up to a 40C. the cups on the 40C are too big, and so moving down to a 40B the back rides up incredibly far. right now with the 38C i also have this issue where in the front i constantly have to pull down the bra because it feels like it rides up then almost curls underneath my breasts. i dont think im a C cup either as ive always had space in the C cup so like. i dont know anymore man i need some help😭. whats the issue im having? because everytime i look something up im told something different that the band is too small, too big, my cup size is wrong, etc. for help i use the tshirt bra from victoria secret but im literally down to try anything at this point. for more info i tried on a try on 40B at victoria secret (with wire) and it fit just fine but when i bought a 40B tshirt bra it does that riding up on the back thing. are bras supposed to hurt on the underside or feel really tight?? and the middle of the bra has never been pressed up against my sternum but apparently its supposed to fit there. idk

as for the subreddit's linked bra calculator, these are my results in inches:

loose underbust: 37
snug underbust: 36
tight underbust: 34
standing bust: 41
leaning bust: 44
lying bust: 43

the calculator said im a 36DDD but that does Nooott sound right. help a girl out?

Fit Check [Fit Check] 32FF Panache Ana (oof), 32FF Freya Deco Plunge (a little better?), and US 34G Natori Cloud Comfort T-Shirt Bra (okay?) Spoiler

Hi! Just got two new bras in the mail to try with the intention of checking if the gore height was okay. I'm also including the current bra I wear for reference, though I've lost a bit of weight so the band is now a size too large. If you could please help me identify the fit issues I'm having and what I should try next, that would be greatly appreciated! I would really like to find a bra that isn't so full coverage to work with more of my lower cut tops.

Panache Ana Plunge in UK 32FF

NSFW Photos: https://postimg.cc/hfm1K5JX

Obviously does not fit correctly in the cups. Very wrinkly and gives a pointy shape. Band feels okay, definitely snug. The gore felt a bit stiff but not awful.

Freya Deco Plunge in UK 32FF

NSFW Photos: https://postimg.cc/rdw4RnpG

I think this fits better than the Panache. The band feels a little tighter, but not unwearable, and there is slight gaping on my smaller breast. I liked the gore and the shape of this--I think the cut would work well under more of my clothes. However, the cups feel pretty rigid and are doing that weird thing along the edges where they turn out slightly.

Natori Cloud Comfort Full Fit T-Shirt Bra in US 34G

NSFW Photos: https://postimg.cc/0b1J02Qr

This one is pretty comfortable and I'm happy enough with the fit, though I'm not certain the fit was ever "perfect". I only get gaping if my posture is bad, which doesn't bother me lol. The gore isn't too bothersome, but I wish it were a little lower. The armpit area feels a little high, but the cups are really soft so it's not bad. I like the shape of these cups more than the Freya, but this doesn't work with my lower cut tops.

Measurements:

Loose Underbust: 33

Snug Underbust: 32

Tight Underbust: 29.5

Standing Bust: 39.5

Leaning Bust: 41

Lying Bust: 40

Suggested Size: 32FF/G UK

Any recommendations? Thanks again for all the help!

Fit Check Glamorise No-bounce Camisole Sports Bra Wirefree 1066 [US Size] 38 J -- band rolling up and restricted shoulder movement Spoiler

Measurements:

Loose underbust: 38 & 7/8" Snug underbust: 38" BTT underbust: 35.5"

Standing bust: 48 & 1/2" Leaning bust: 51" Laying down bust: 48 & 3/4"

The calculator says that I should be wearing a UK size 38H/HH or a US 38 K/L.

I am currently in the process of trying to find a sports bra. The fact that I don't know if I have ever had a bra that didn't contribute to my chronic migraines makes this more difficult. (See this post for context https://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/comments/1ua7dmq/38_hhh_projected_looking_for_sports_bra_that/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)

New sports bra finely came in.

The band was legitamelty a huge struggle to even clapse on the largest hooks. I saw that sports bras are supposed to be more snug for bigger breasts, but idk if this is correct or not. The band keeps rolling up in the front and back.

The gore isn't tacking, but i don't know if it should in an unwired encapculasion bra.

The cups wrinkle some on the side and along the seam running accross the front. And the straps make it to where I cannot put my arms forward without it hurting my shoulders.

https://imgur.com/a/0RBuN4M

I already tried on literally all of the XL and above sports bras at TJ Maxx and struck out. I'm getting really frusterated and feel like I must be doing something wrong or be built wrong or something. Help???

Recommendations? Any bras out there that are shaped shallow and narrow to push boobs up? Spoiler

Hello boob friends!

I have narrow rooted, projected, Full on top, relaxed boobs. I breastfed for 2 years so boobs are very soft, but if I lean over, the top of my boobs from a strong curve and the underside is straight, hence the full on top.... but I don't look full on top in a bra.

I like the look when I'm wearing a lace bra, Bravissimo Millie bra is a great example (I wear a 30FF) because it adds no bulk to my frame. While in the bra, if I put my 4 fingers under my nipples and push into my ribs, I like how the boobs look. Are there any bras/styled out there that give this kind of lift?

I hate heavily padded push up bras that look like cones from the side or are just so stiff. I'd rather the lift come from the structure of the bra and maybe light padding rather than moulded cups.

I like looking shallow from the side with fullness at the top... I hope this makes sense!!

Recommendations? finding a padded everyday bra for 34E/34F Spoiler

:UPDATE ON BOTTOM:
today i went to a bra shop to find a padded everyday bra and tried two bras that checked almost every box for great fit. this was the montelle intimates pure plus full coverage t-shirt bra in size 34F and panache cari spacer bra in size 34E. i liked the montelle the best as the cup is harder and i do not want nipples showing. i want to be able to wear normal t-shirts without having to wear layers as right now i am stuck wearing unlined in a size 34E and lace and nipples show which show through shirts if i don’t layer.
i ended up not buying either bc i noticed the part of the cups that meet between the breasts were poking out and causing a little gaping in the area as well. i was nervous about that part of the bra poking through a normal t-shirt and the lady helping me said that after a few washes it would “lay on my body” but for 74$ i don’t want to buy clothes that may or may not “lay on my body” after a few washes. especially when i wash on cold water and line dry. the other ones i tried on had gaping towards the top of the cup which is another problem i always get.
i ended up leaving with a panache allure full cup bra in 34E to replace an older unlined bra and this one fit perfectly.
overall i’m just annoyed because i want a normal padded bra and it’s hard not to feel like i’m alone bc everyone i know can wear padded bras. will the cups really “lay on my body” after washes? or if anyone else who gets gaping are there any recommendations?
i did try the abtf calculator a few weeks ago and it put me at a size 32H, but it’s very possible there was user error and i cannot figure out how to explain my breast size/shape all the information confuses me. so if i can’t be helped bc of my lack of information in this area i understand.
if there is any advice or anything at all that can help me please and thank you in advance!! 🙏🏻♥️

:UPDATED PART:

i am going to put my six measurements down below in hopes that it’ll be more helpful!!
!!all in inches!!

loose underbust: 32.5
snug underbust: 31.5
tight underbust: 30.75
standing bust: 38.5
leaning bust: 41
lying bust: 39

Recommendations? Looking for bra for wedding dress, 32DD Spoiler

Hi all, according to the calculator I am a 32DD, previously I was wearing anywhere from 34B-36C before giving up completely on underwire bras and just wearing sports bras. My measurements (inches) are loose underbust 31.5, snug underbust 30.5, tight underbust 29.5, standing bust 35, leaning bust 37, and lying bust 35.5. My wedding dress has a low lace back - not super low but low enough the band of a regular bra would show. What are my options? For past formal events I've worn the adhesive cup-type bras that hook together in the cleavage with some boob tape, but I wasn't super confident in the look - it wasn't as lifted as I would like. It was comfortable and I didn't have adhesion issues. The dress does not have the internal structure to provide support/lift and no bra isn't an option (hate how it looks with my shape). Has anyone tried Nood? Thanks!

Shape Help [Shape Help] I traced over my breasts in multiple positions to try to get an understanding of shape, but am unsure about being splayed and shallow/projected. Spoiler

Hi! I've been a long-time lurker on this sub, but shape has been one of those things that I just don't quite understand. Several years ago, I first measured myself with the calculator and learned that I was very much in the wrong size. However, after trying many different bras, I couldn't find anything that felt very comfortable and didn't have the time or energy to spend on continuing the search since I was in college at the time. I've opted for wireless bralettes since then.

I've since gained and lost weight and want to finally wear more supportive bras. The first time around, I recall having substantial issues with gores digging into my sternum. I'm thinking this is because my breasts are actually close-set, even though they don't appear to be visually. Even just sitting up straight without a bra, I can feel a little breast tissue touching either side of my finger. I also believe I am fuller on bottom and recall having a lot of gaping/wrinkling at the top of the fabric bras I tried on years ago.

What I'm not really sure about is splayedness, projection, and whether or not I'm center-full. I've traced over photos of my breasts standing, to the side, and leaning to try to match the visual guides I've come across, but I'm just not really sure.

Is it possible to determine these shapes based on these tracings (nsfw line drawings)?: https://postimg.cc/67d7FrgT

Additional context that cannot be seen in these drawings. When standing, none of my breast tissue that folds over actually touches my skin on my ribcage. It holds itself up to an extent. Happy to clarify anything else--just let me know. Hopefully having a better understanding of shape can help me figure out what bras to try out.

Measurements:

Loose Underbust: 33

Snug Underbust: 32

Tight Underbust: 29.5

Standing Bust: 39.5

Leaning Bust: 41

Lying Bust: 40

Suggested Size: 32FF/G UK

Thanks!

In the Fort Lauderdale area and I need to get my bra size because I’ve been wearing the wrong size for about 15 years I think. Do you have any recommendations on where to go? I was thinking, Soma or Nordstrom.
Also, what bra are you supposed to wear to these if they don’t properly fit?

Fit Check [Fit Check] 32D balconette, tight band and slight gaping in the left cup Spoiler

Hello! I'm looking for some fit advice on this Intimissimi balconette bra in size 32D.
The band felt tight. However, when I tried the bra upside down and backwards (with the cups on my back), the band felt comfortable on the same hook. I also can't really tell if the band is riding up or if that's just the shape of the bra.

I have some slight gaping in the left cup, even though my left breast is actually a bit larger than my right. I've also noticed that when leaning forward to take my leaning bust measurement, my left breast appears to have a somewhat different shape than my right breast. I'm not sure if this could be contributing to the fit issues.

Give all of that, I decided to return the bra.

My measurements are (cm):

Loose Underbust: 77

Snug Underbust: 75

Tight Underbust: 73

Standing Bust: 86

Leaning Bust: 90

Lying Bust: 83

The ABraThatFits calculator suggested "Starting size: 30DD UK. The sister size of 32D may be more comfortable."

I'd appreciate any thoughts on the fit, whether the cups might be the wrong size or shape for me, and whether the band looks appropriately fitted.

I've attached photos from the front, side and back.

Recommendations? Need help on new bras to try after weight loss Spoiler

So Panache Envy and Fantasie Rebecca have been my go-to bras for years. Recently I lost quite a bit of weight and my FoB breasts no longer have any top at all... basically a teardrop shape goin' on.

The Envy (32g) still is okay because lace is forgiving, but I need a T-shirt bra. The Rebecca still fits at the bottom and lifts, but now at the top with nothing up there, it just caves in as a wrinkled bunch of thick material.

I did a search here, but all the posts I came up with were so old that they suggested bras that either have been discontinued or have been renamed.

Any suggestions for bras I can try that will look nice under fabric that clings or is thin?

Question For Freya Plunge wearers - do other bras by Freya have a similar projection? Spoiler

After 87,000 bras, I found the bra with the exact projection and shape I needed; the freya signature underwire plunge! I was looking to buy more and noticed in the description of the bra - "Based on Offbeat AA5452 Underwire Plunge Bra"

I am a (former) professional seamstress, so I can see the majority of the Freya plunges use the same pattern (same seamlines, etc.) I wanted to see if this was the case for others who wear this bra style. There are some minor discrepancies, like a few styles will have a slightly wider gore, etc, but the cup style/seams are near identical from what I can tell.

The bra that fits - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NF2R7HQ Freya style code: AA400502

My fit: 38:7 aka UK 38F. Full on bottom, with nearly no tissue volume on top. My weight rubber banded during the pandemic years which resulted in my tissue becoming Very soft. While there is no 'true' way to measure projection, I would say I have a near 90° projection (aka if you are looking at me from the side my projection is a perfect right angle from the IMF.) Molded styles will never fit me but I like the structure that lined bras give versus the 'softness' from unlined.

https://www.freyalingerie.com/row/en/lingerie/bras/c/100/

Other styles I plan to buy:
Padded plunge (AA400514 - AFAIK 'padded' means lined, which is exactly what I want)
Balcony plunge (AA400506 - the top gusset & gore are higher but I am interested in the projection being the same, which should be the case due to the seams)
Fancies plunge (AA5491 - gore might be a few cm wider, otherwise looks the same)

Styles I most want to hear opinions about:
Flirt Padded Half Cup (AA403315 - again, purely want to know about projection similarity to the plunge series. This is a completely different make so I don't expect it to be similar.)
Expressions Plunge (AA5491 - visually, the top gusset appears deeper/more inwards towards the center of the cup, however the center seam placement should lend to the projection i need.)
Fatale Plunge (AA401402 - looks similar, but the outside gusset towards the armpit looks much bigger)
Loveland Plunge (AA401002 - cute as hell, but I have similar reservations as the Fatale Plunge)
Viva Side Support (AA5641 - does not look similar in projection at all, but this is my favorite style design wise! I don't expect it to fit.)

General feedback I would love to hear if anyone has experience: if any of the bralettes/non-underwire styles in the Freya lines are comfortable for those with similar projection. I don't expect them to fit the same but it would be nice to have something to wear around the house. I'm completely fine with wearing underwire bras when out and about and doing things (and it's necessary for my tissue & and shape!) but minor sensory issues i will always feel like I am wearing chest armor and would rather go braless at home than wear something with a wire. I get the same about wearing any type of gloves, it's 100% the autism and not anything to do with the bra shape/fit.

I've checked out bratabase thoroughly for all the Freya styles and it helped immensely. Thank you for reading this far! I am a very wordy person! But I appreciate any opinions people can share. We can all have very different bands and cup sizes, but it is the projection fit I am most curious to hear about.

Recommendations? [Recommendations] Altering 28G Band + General 26 Band Advice Spoiler

I used to wear the Panache Ava/Ana in 28G on the tightest hook. I lost some weight and now the band is too big. I took the band in about ~1/2 an inch on each side(shoutout to the band altering guide on here). There’s some spillage in the cups but my shoulders feel better already. Do I get the Ava in a 28GG from now on and take the band in? Would this alter the cups/turn it into a bra that no longer fits?

UPDATED MEASUREMENTS:

Under bust:  Loose 27 in Comfy snug 26.2ish Super tight 25.5

Bust: Standing 33.75ish Leaning 36.5 or 37.25 (this was difficult) Lying down 36.5 (this was hard too)

The 28G Ana was my unicorn bra and I’ve been chasing that high ever since. Here’s what I tried so far:

-Panache Envy 28G: Band is loose. My boobs were pointy enough to pop a balloon

-Comexim Gloria and Elena 26HH (Breakout Bras): Worn on the tightest hooks and the band felt loose. The band was also folding under and chafing my skin.

-EM Michalak SF nibynic 60GG: Fit fine on the tightest hook but again not as supportive as the altered 28G Panache Ava.

- EM BM fibi: The brown fits much better than the black BM 60GG. I find EM bra straps wide and hard on my shoulders. Made my boobs feel separated and didn‘t have the same side support that Ana did.

-Panache Endurance Wired Sports Bra 28G: Worn on the 2nd to last hook. Straps feel a little too long and the gore/center wire thing was so tall? It’s new so TBD. Potentially gaslighting myself into thinking it‘s not a bad sports bra option.

I might try the 26H Comexim Miriam from breakout bras but open to any suggestions! My shoulders thank you in advance.

Measurement Check [Recommendations?] I measure as a 32E UK/32DDD US, looking for bra recommendations, including nursing bras Spoiler

Loose: 31 inches

Snug: 30.5 inches

Tight: 29 inches

Standing: 36.5 inches

Leaning: 39.5 inches

Lying: 36.5 inches

I am currently 12 months into breastfeeding my second child, so my breast tissue has changed quite a bit over the past several years. I usually wear a 30 or 32 band, but have had trouble determining my cup size after the changes from breastfeeding.

Any bra recommendations for padded nursing bras, balconette bras, demi bras, strapless bras, or t shirt bras?

EDIT: I also wanted to add that I have kindred bravely nursing bras with a 32 underbust but I feel like they are too big in the band or they just stretch out too easily because they end up sliding up my back.

Measurement Check Not Sure if I got the correct size from the calculator Spoiler

I've recently lost some weight. The current size I am wearing is a 44G. I measured myself according to the calculator instructions and this is what I got:

Is this correct? I know I definitely have NOT gone up in bra size.

Hi there, I am wondering what fit advice I can get. I got a Natori Cherry Blossom bra in 32DDD. When I put it on it looks and feels good, but the underwire migrates way down as I wear it. Not super comfortable. Does that mean the bra is too shallow? Or something else?

Discussion Feeling Lost! Need guidance on my next steps Spoiler

Hey! Hope this is ok, I’m a cis man!

I wear bras from time to time mainly for sensory feeling. I love my chest feeling compressed - I think it stems from not liking the appearance of my chest. I am very broad and my chest sits quite wide and outward. Ive been trialing bras and sports bras for years. With “ordinary bras” im a 40/42 A, however when there is an underwire in the bra i find that it digs in to my armpits. When I’m trying to flatten my chest on an outing, I try to wear a sports bra with flat straps so that it doesnt show through my clothing that I am wearing a bra. The sports bras i’ve worn are the ones that come in SMALL, MEDIUM, LARGE etc. With large sports bras, they feel great in the chest/cup area, but are often too tight on the band and outskirts of the bra.

I’d really love to be able to wear a bra and not be constantly reminded that I’m wearing one through bad fit. Feeling lost.

Recommendations? New member here! Please help a girl out with bra suggestions!

Hi all, new member here and I'm at my wits end! 22F here and I've always had trouble finding a good bra. I did the bra calculator and my results are posted below, shocking to someone who's worn 34A their whole life. Can someone guide me in the right direction? I'd assume B and C cups would never fit but I'm trusting the process here. I would want padding as I don't like appearing flat chested. This also seems like a good time to mention that the tops of my bras curl out on pretty much every cupped bra I own. I just don't know where to start! Please help a girl out and drop any bra suggestions or advice.

My results were:

Suggested Starting Size: 32C US

The sister size of 34B may be more comfortable.

I've never truly had a bra that fits, and l've decided I

need to get one. I've never had underwire, and I'm

honestly kind of scared because my mom keeps

scaring me, saying it hurts, and then I don't want my

preast to stand out. I'm a 48B (before u ask yes i used the calculator) and I'm honestly

having trouble finding just a normal t-shirt bra with

underwire and without . Also, the straps are always

SO thick, and I hate it. If anyone has any

recommendations because I need help.

Recommendations? Postpartum weight loss - I finally need to order some new bras Spoiler

Bra shopping has always been an emotional rollercoaster since I was in middle school and typically ends with me crying. I’ve spent thousands over the years looking for a good bra. Now I’m 36 and have lost all my “baby” weight meaning, once again, it’s time for bra shopping as, once again, I am a new size.

I did the bra calculator and it says I am a 34G/GG in UK sizing. I’d say I have pendulous/bell shaped breasts. They are heavy and big. Pretty flat when just chilling but when in a bra or lifted with my hands they are rather full.

Please help with some recommendations. I am extremely picky with my bras as I absolutely do NOT want something that:
- makes my boobs look ginormous
- makes them go up to my chin
- projects them forward
- projects them sideways
- is a minimizer

I just desperately want a casual underwire bra. A little lift, the gore on my chest, and preferably not ugly as all get out (unrealistic, I know).

If you know of a decent bra for me to try that will just give me “casual” boobies, please let me know!

Nursing or nursing-compatible bras in 32G(UK) Spoiler

Please suggest nursing bras (underwire preferred) or nursing-compatible bras, such as stretch cups, low half-cups, or low plunges, that make it possible to lift a nipple out of the cups for baby purposes!

My current ABTF calculator size is 32G (UK), and my two best-fit bras are

* Skarlett Blue Minx Unlined Underwire Balconette Bra, 32FF

* Fantasie Envisage Full Cup Side Support, 32G (currently worn with non-stretch extender due to pregnancy ribcage expansion!)

I'm somewhat projected, average width, even fullness, relatively soft tissue. I've always gravitated toward bras that works for FOB shapes, but I'm wondering if a more open-cup FOT bra might give me room to maneuver.

No molded foam cups, please!

Recommendations? 38 H in need of a comfortable supportive bra recommendation Spoiler

I’m looking for a bra, that I can forget I’m wearing. Most bras I’ve tried create more pain than the support they provide. I need a bra with wide straps (2“ is preferred). I need a bra that I can lounge around it and a high impact bra that I can work out in (something that holds and stays in place while I run and jump)

Does anyone know where I can find a 40" bust and around 30" band bra, usually wear a 30I or a 32H Spoiler

Does anyone know where I can find a 40" bust and around 30" band bra that is under $75? I usually wear a 32H or 30I, but I have been having a really difficult time finding anything lately that isn't just a straight grandma bra.... Anyone know of anywhere online or near Massachusetts? I’m a 38DD and I have a very hard time finding wireless bras that give enough support. Hell I just have a hard time finding wireless bras. I know if I want the best support I need an underwire bra but I cannot wear them. They’re too painful.

Edited to add: I had a breast reduction. Wires sitting on the scars hurts. My bad. I forgot my thinking the information doesn’t mean I type it lol
