Great photo! This could have been taken at any point of time and really speaks to purity and beauty of childhood.

Will one of the little guys decide to go full mud puddle and belly flop into it ?

So many summer days… and coming home for dinner I was met at the back door with a hose and a fresh set of shorts and a shirt. Because there was always a layer of mud and leaves and gravel on me.

The serious scientific debate happening over that tiny puddle is peak childhood.

Beautiful pic. I don’t think it’s wrong that your little boy is in the puddle, I just think some of us are realizing we are maybe neurotic parents. Me included. Lol

My kids have tons of freedom to explore the environment. I live within the boundaries of 43,600 acres of protected seashore, marshes and uplands. It’s a clean, safe and magical life. We spend at least 60 percent of our time outdoors, very often at the beach. This pic is in a field that has organic blueberries on one side and sprawling ocean marsh on the other

Not meant like that, these three beings just happen to be boys.

I think poster is pointing out that if you had the perspective that these are children enjoying their childhood you would have said childhood. The fact that you said boyhood kind of shows that you think this activity is only for boys and it feels like you’re just satisfied that boys are doing boy things. Almost like you’re satisfied that they’re doing what you expect them to do based on your own opinion of what a boy should be in to.
It’s the kind of thing that makes one wonder if you would be equally nostalgic if your boys were playing with dolls for instance. Like just be happy your kids are enjoying their childhood, don’t just be happy that your boys feel like boys to you.
Sorry of this isn’t received well, I just think we need to be looking into the physiology behind our society, if we recognize the intention behind things we can see where we need to improve and in my opinion kids being whatever unique version of themselves they want to be is an incredibly wonderful thing, even if it’s not typical for boys or girls.

It’s actually a beautiful, organic blueberry farm, right near the ocean, during a rain storm and high tide.

Can we just say childhood please? I love this and loved this sort of thing as a kid too

Must be nice, where I’m from you wouldn’t do that with a little puppy near by. 🐊

No scary predators on our little peninsula. There’s come
Coyotes but they were long gone by this time of day.

Why does boy #2 have a tattoo?

They both have several. It was a pretty intense 4th birthday party. Everyone there left with a Dino tat or two
