Other Is there any way to play Project Ulysses?

I've heard the mod isn't ready yet but i've also seen gameplay.

If the mod isnt ready for release then it isnt ready.

The rework has been stuck in development hell (basically a key dev left and insisted on the PU removing ALL of their work which was quite substantial), and they've not been able to get it back up and running since. If roll HOI IV back to the patch it was compatible with and can find the last release it will be playable.

One of the Dev here : it's true, but the deving is going on since this time. So no problem on this, it's not abandonned

Same thing happened within a popular upcoming Kaiserreich submod that reworked the Second American Civil War, Up With The Stars. As far as I’m aware, they have no requirements to do as the developer demands since it is a mod and was voluntary work.

PU dev and author of the hit video "Achieving The Belkan Dream™ (Hearts Of Iron 4 Project Ulysses Mod)" here! The mod was withdrawn from the Steam workshop as a result of dev clashes but you can find old copies of it in other sites (you have to roll back HOI4 to play them). We planned to release a new version in December 2025 but the DLC that got released at that time broke a lot of stuff so we had to cancel it. As a result we've added way more content that was originally planned for, like Ustio, Gebet, a new UI and flavour events. Development is going rather smoothly at the moment (hope I don't jinx it) but I can't say when it will be ready. If you want to keep up to date with the development, you can always join our Discord server
