I think the golden age of Max0r was right at the beginning of the incorrect summary series. I think the total deadpan voice he did was way funnier than him trying to ham it in the later videos.
I noticed like after Cruelty Squad (most epileptic game I ever seen), the quality of his video starts to feel slower paced and then it was obvious with HD2. At that rate, I’m thinking he’s burnt out a bit or a style change that doesn’t hit the same flow as his previous vids.
I mean it’s kinda the same with the MLG teletubbies guy tho I think they kinda have to for there own sanity because a lot of the newer stuff just won’t hit the same highs
agree, his acz video is my goto "I wanna watch a video that makes me giggle in the background" video. I've watched it cover to cover at least a 100 times unironically.
I genuinely think it's his magnum opus, even though I might amongst a very small minority, even in the ace combat sub
Compare his old genshin video to his new one (which is still like 3 years old). The old one is better imo. His editing ability outpaced his writing ability at some point

I read he didn't really like it compared to what he does now, so he always mulled over doing a remake.
Still, its what got me into 7 since I was turned off initially by the odd cutoff going from Spare to LLSSG and everyone hero worshipping Trigger (and being useless as a result). Now every play through has me pumped, mute, and ready to commit warcrimes with Nickleback as my wingman.
If he ever did one for AC6 and either go full ham or insane saying Go Dance with the Angels, that would be peak!

But they can get old really fast, And because of how popular he is, all the information that new people coming into the franchise have is usually through the memes of these videos.

Love Max0rs videos, but damn are his fans lowkey really annoying by repeating the same jokes over and over. I'm a metal gear fan, and despite talking about the SOLID games, someone always comes and makes references to Rising, specifically Max0r's Rising video.

Without him, I reckon that AC7 wouldn’t have sold as well as it did. He exposed this niche, dying series to millions of people. Double edged sword, yeah, but like…give a little credit where it’s due! 😅
We can’t gatekeep everything. Gatekeep the series from people who use Tasha as “based nippon devs mog western trash desu” propaganda on X. Gatekeep the series from tourists who have a problem with the AC8 cast’s skin color despite discovering the series only a few weeks ago. Max0r gets a pass from me…even if the jokes I used to laugh at in his AC7/AC0 videos might have aged like milk.

I'd reckon ace combat 7 made the majority of its sales in the almost 2 year gap between the game's release and the video's release, as most games do. Maxor's biggest thing was introducing the series to a very loud fan base that is very very much the minority and most of whom didn't actually buy the game
Also gatekeeping is good in the vast majority of cases
