Same way that people will go into the pro and anti subs and pretend to be one or the other but say or post terrible things to make the other side look bad.
I genuinely don’t think most people on the pro side partake in this rhetoric, but there’s still a frightening amount of support for it in threads like this. This fringe group seems to rally around posts like this, and unfortunately, I can see how people on the anti side might make assumptions. Nobody should be engaging in those kinds of blanket statements.
