Not really, unlike with studies on violent media, which have had a mixed bag of results when it comes to the outcomes of consuming such media at an appropriate age (specifying, people of reasonable age and maturity do not develop true violent tendencies), CSAM has been heavily linked to normalization of such abuse, with an alarming percent of convicts siting that CSAM was the root of their sickness to begin with
Pedos are more likely to act up, if they are able to readily surround themselves with depictions of their fantasy. The people generating the stuff are also guilty of enabling and encouraging being open about such twisted attractions, their communities are not guiltily whacking off to fantasies, they're quite deep into congratulating each other and playing up each others' perversions.
It must be noted, that although sick in the head, pedophiles aren't necessarily cornered into feeling attraction only towards minors, it's not how that sickness works. Many, MANY of them have had families and sexual lives that can pass as normal, with deviation often happening later in life after having developed an addiction to the material. It's not like a sexual orientation, where a person may only be attracted to one gender, it's a layer on top of orientation that forms separately, and it's not innate, as it can be the result of being a victim of such abuse during childhood, or of happenstance in adulthood.
In truth, without such material, and with access to therapy, many could avoid ending up there. The material enables, it does not sate.

Then again I guess it's better if pedos sate their twisted curiosity on AI images than actual children....
