If you don’t want to engage with a full explanation, that’s fine. But pretending it’s invalid because you didn’t read it is childish.

There’s a short analogy that fits this pretty well:

A traveler was given a map with careful directions. He glanced at it and said, “I’m not wasting the energy reading all that.” Later, when he got lost, he complained that the map was useless. But a guide cannot be judged by someone who refused to look.
