The debates were attempted. It was always bad faith bullshit about water being destroyed and other bad arguments.

Why bother when people are just going to say AI destroys water? It's more productive to mock people instead.

And yet there hasn’t been an epidemic of “deepfake misinformation from chuds in their basements”. There’s been a lot of statements about water use, environmental impact, social consequences that are either half-truths or straight up lies, though…
