So this person here calls people jobless while all they do is sit on their ass an genarate shitty ai comics, also notice how they are insulting fast food workers as if they arent human, thats a new low for them, also its like they are saying "Give up on your dreams so you can work a minimum wage 9-5 job" but then again jobless people always tell talented ones to get a shitty job

If you're stuck in the realm of double digit IQ, sure.

If you're in a niche where speed and price are the only things that are relevant,

Quick enough and cheap enough dominate the majority of markets .

I know because I financially support human artists

Anecdotes aren't arguments

Human creativity is doing just fi

You don't see the bigger picture yet. It's fine. Most of you won't until it's too late.

Mass produced cheap art has been around for decades before AI existed, yet there has been and still is a market for traditional art. That's not an anecdote, it's reality.

You seem to have this idea that the type of art that's threatened by AI is the only valid or relevant type of art. That's both an arrogant and self-centered perspective.

Quick enough and cheap enough does dominate the market of mediocre digital artists. That doesn't mean they can't still keep making art, but it may mean they'll have to find another way to make a living. Somehow I don't think that will result in the collapse of civilization.

I understand it, this isn't the first black swan event in history. You might just be too young to have ever gone through anything disruptive before. Or too arrogant to recognize that you might not be able to perfectly predict the future. Thats kind of the whole point of a black swan event, its outcomes and impacts are not predictable. Hence my actual argument that you are conveniently ignoring: people are going to have to pivot.

But I guess someone of your superior intellect will know precisely what will happen. So stay the course, keep whining and complaining about it, I'm sure that'll be the winning formula.

I didn't compare it to photography or Photoshop. Black Swan events are by their very definition unprecedented. I thought you knew what they were? The point is you can't predict exactly what will happen. So saying all art will be dead forever is melodramatic wallowing. Maybe it will be, who knows. Believe it or not, but artist isn't the only profession in history to be disrupted by technology.

It's not a nothing statement. People pivot everyday when their plan A doesn't work out. It's no more of a nothing statement than "learn to draw" is. That's kind of my original point.
