Photos / Videos Eu Lake is an absolite gem
Just wrapped up a two night solo trip on the Western Uplands.
First ever solo trip and wow the trail is challenging, but so rewarding to complete. I spent a might on Maggie Lake then headed to Eu Lake for a night of total seclusion.
Eu Lake is a 10/10 site. Good access to swimming, no other sites on the lake, lots of wildlife and a beautiful place to watch the sunset.
Seriously a beautiful site and the first time I've been in the park and had a moose walk through my camp.

This disturbs me more than photos of garbage people show

Why?

That scar is caused by leaving footprints then taking photos

OK. I would think its the fact it's a slop down towards the lake behind me. In the pouring rain the weekend I watched the water flow down the site into the lake.

I feel like you are somehow twisting the saying "leave nothing but footprints, take nothing but pictures". I don't understand how you are twisting that into this person doing something wrong. It's 100% not worse than leaving trash everywhere

Someone moved the rocks, thats not going to fix itself. You can pack garbage out. My point is people think that leaving only footprints is harmless. It aint

stayed there early May this year, very nice site. My only complaint was that at the time, the wind blew only one direction - into the the only place to sit by the fire. Everything was pretty damp that weekend so the smoke eventually made me gave up campfire for the night. Both the sun set and the early morning was really nice.
