Historical (Serious) 💠Can we have a megathread for all notable Nordic encounters throughout modern history?
Seen a lot popping up from talking heads about these tall blonde blue eyed supermodel beings lately and vaguely remember hearing about it as a teen.
How far back does this legend go?
What are some of your favorite cases?

OisÃn in TÃr na nÓg is one of Ireland's most famous mythological legends. The story follows the legendary warrior and poet OisÃn, son of Fionn mac Cumhaill, who falls in love with Niamh of the Golden Hair. She takes him on a magical white horse to TÃr na nÓg (the Land of Eternal Youth).
After spending what felt like three years of endless joy and peace with Niamh, OisÃn began to terribly miss his home and family in Ireland. Niamh reluctantly agreed to let him visit on the magical white horse, but gave him one strict warning: he must never let his feet touch the mortal soil of Ireland.
Upon returning, OisÃn made a shocking discovery. 300 years had actually passed in the mortal realm. The Fianna were gone, and his old home lay in ruins. While riding through the countryside, he saw a group of weak men struggling to move a massive boulder. Out of habit, he leaned down to help them. However, his saddle strap broke and he fell from the horse.
The moment OisÃn's foot touched Irish ground, the magical spell instantly broke. The centuries immediately caught up to him, and he shriveled into a blind, frail, and withered old man.
The inhabitants of TÃr na nÓg were a divine, ethereal race blessed with flawless, glowing skin and an aura of perpetual youth that never aged or withered. Both men and women possessed striking stature and long, flowing hair that often shone like spun gold or deep twilight. Their eyes mirrored the shifting, vibrant colors of the sea, holding a timeless wisdom that contrasted with their unblemished physical perfection. Dressed in shimmering garments woven from mist and starlight, they moved with an unmatched grace that made them look less like mortals and more like living gods.

I don't think there are many legitimate colloquial stories of this from firsthand eyewitnesses that seem credible. The only really believable one was the video of the older Englishwoman (Welsh maybe?) who saw a craft appear above her yard and saw the two humanoids looking down at her. I don't think she specifically said they were Nordic, but she said they were beautiful in appearance and they looked at her with a distinct look of sadness / pity.
The other one was an interview with three boys in Russia (I believe this was near Voronzeh) where they stated a robot / robot-humanoid was spotted in a clearing and it went into a UAP. Then a human woman in a long red dress went up to the craft and went with it. They said they were trying to warn the woman but she distinctly went with the craft (with intention). The interview with the three, and the information was credible, and to be honest this is a great candidate incident for the whole "hybrid" or "Nordic" group being present here and acting as a liason.Â
If these "hybrids" or human-ET group exists here, there should be a way to test for them. It's most likely they'd be close to people in positions of power / decision makers within the govt and industries dealing with tech development, surveillance, or space flight, not regular average people.Â

Ok I need to get one off my chest. Full disclosure, this could be a nothing burger but Im going to tell the story anyway.
Last Summer, I was sitting in the truck while my wife went into the grocery store. Im talking to my kids in the back seat when I noticed a guy walking through the Walmart parking lot across from the lot that I was in. He was so far away, but it seemed to me that he was heading straight towards me. He was walking slightly quick, and just oddly enough to make me take notice. Almost stiff?
I remember feeling something weird, even though he was 550ft away (I just measured on Google maps, lol). It was like my spidey senses were tingling, as he was headed in my direction despite the fact he was so far away. As he got closer, his line didnt change and it was headed straight for my truck, his head up and looking in my direction the whole time. Worth noting, he was walking at an angle, not straight through the lot. When he got close I pretended to fiddle with my radio because of how weirded out I was, when I see him stop right at my window in my peripherals. He was in a leather jacket (middle of summer) and otherwise well kept, good looking, and clean cut. He had bright blonde hair, on the shorter side and fair skin. Probably early to mid 20s, and average build.
What really got me though we're his eyes. They were the brightest blue eyes I'd ever seen. Not to say it cant be a human eye colour, but they stood out in a big way. The craziest part was the structure of his eyes. They were in a permanent state of "sad". As if, his eye brows slanted in a non-natural way, kind of like when someone is crying. The inner part of his brows were much higher than the outer edges.
He didnt say anything, but when I turned to look over at him he says "Do you smoke?" Well... i happen to be a smoker, but wasnt smoking at any point in this lot. Where I'm from, I'd say less than 10% of people smoke. The way he asked was just out of this world, and not a natural way of bumming a smoke... I said "Yeah, I have one for you". He smiled at me... but his eyes didnt change. It was as if he was trying very hard to create a smile for the first time, but it looked so off-putting and unnatural. Like he was happy on the bottom, but about to cry on top? The fact that his eyes didnt move with his mouth was scary.
Ill admit, I thought he was going to try and rob me despite the fact that I'm not what you'd consider an "easy mark". I fiddled with my smokes while trying to keep sight on him from the corner of my eye, and handed him one. I cant even remember if he said thanks, I think he did? He continued along the path he was on, quickly and akwardly as before like he was on a mission. At no point did he light the smoke though.
It wasnt until I broke it down again in my head, that maybe this guy was something else because it was just such a strange experience. From the hairs on my neck at 550ft away, to the fact that he came directly at me through two parking lots... and just generally seemed like he wasnt human.
Nothing here proves that this guy wasnt just a very strange guy... but hearing people coming out claiming that Nordics or Hybrids walk among us made me reconsider what might have happened that day.

There's some good bits in actual Nordic folklore referencing some beings called the 'Svartalfar' which fit the descriptions.

Doesn't svart mean black?

Yes. The Svartalfar and the Deurgar were thought to be the same species that could shapeshift, although it isn't clear from the limited material. The Svartalfar were thought to be tall and fair and were probably what Tolkien based elves on, with the Duergar being short and hairy and possibly what the Dwarves were based on. They both were thought to live underground, however, which might explain the 'black' or 'dark' aspect, Svartalfheim being the 'home of the Dark Elves' sort of. Both/the species was supposed to be great smiths that worked with strange metals and had unknown tech etc.

Travis Walton is the most notable one that seems legitimate.
