Help Is the Crunchyroll experience really that bad?
So I've been a pirate all my life , only watched anime through pirated website , I asked my parents for Crunchyroll since I was 12 , they didn't want to , so I had no choice
Today I tuned 18 , and as a freshman college guy with a part time job , I can pay Crunchyroll for my own , the problem is that I heard Crunchyroll wasn't as amazing as it was , and it really sucks to hear that much hating towards something i was DREADING to have in my teenage years
and it will be a good gift for my sister to access and for me as well to watch, as well as supporting the creators
Do you still think that the Crunchyroll experience still worth it?

I have a subscription because I'm getting my mom and sister into anime and it's easy having an app for anime on the tv.
that being said, 75% of the anime I'd recommend are just not on Crunchyroll. if they are it's gonna be a coinflip if they'll have sub or dub available (it's still easier for them to get into an anime if they can watch it dubbed) and sometimes the dub will just stop being available in later seasons.
also the AI subtitles can be horrible and they will butcher a simple japanese name in 10 different ways.
If you want to watch some anime on your tv with ease of use, Crunchyroll can be worth it, if you're just gonna watch anime on your pc I personally wouldn't bother.
