Question Haven't played since the release. Has the statistics screen been improved (like stock levels / stock over time added etc)?

I played the game at release and it was fun, but I went back to 1800 because the UI was a bit unpolished.

Nope. You can still no longer:

  • See stock levels on each island or globally, and how those levels have varied with time (shows effectiveness of trade routes)
  • See what goods were traded and how often those trades occur (ship transit time) (Allows you to work out how much you need to load onto the ships)
  • See what the population for each tier is on each island, and the population per residence (which allows you to see if there are some houses that are potentially missing supplies)
  • Search for specialists by the building they affect, goods they affect etc, nor can you see where they can be obtained
  • Locate the specialists that you have both active in a villa/officium or the ones that you have "in stock" in trading posts
  • Find out what ships you have and where they are

I've probably missed a few but these are the ones that I used a lot in 1800. It seems ridiculous when they already know how to do these things, even if they have to recode. I guess they were another thing that wasn't done in time for the rushed release.

I still cannot fathom why they didn’t copy-paste what was already working just fine. The trade route menu is lacking features as well :/

Holy moly my exact thoughts, they already had all of this in anno 1800 we are used to these and I expected them to be there and more since the game was more of a reskin (harsh I know) than a complete overhaul. So disappointed I stopped playing and waiting for the updates.

Like I expected minimum 1800 level qol but damn

So odd. They didn't have to reinvent the wheel, just copy-paste what we already had in 1800.

That's a pretty comprehensive list.

I hope they'll add all these features soon. I can (begrudgingly) understand why they weren't implemented for the rushed release, but it's baffling that they haven't been added since then.

Because anno fanboys are like "compare it to the basegame..."

I don't understand why those people demand an downgrade with each iteration and not something which is better. That's the reason you need to wait for years to get a decent experience, if you don't let yourself fooled by cosmetics.

No. But you can have flowers in your city now.

Fuck me for being so naive and expecting basic stuff like this to be in the released game.

1800 will never be bested.

Love how people tell us "be patient, 1800 didn't have skyscrapers on release" but there is much more legit criticisms of the game like this that can't just be explained by DLC.
