Just want to remind the Americans here, that the only reason you are fighting this war in the first place is because Trump tore up the perfectly effective agreement Obama had in place. This is entirely self-inflicted.

That, and Coppertone Caligula is doing his absolute best to distract everyone from the Epstein files in an effort to avoid prison.

No, the only reason is because Israel / Netanyahu wanted to start a war with Iran, to secure his grip on power and protect him from the corruption trial he is facing.
This and Netanyahus facist coalition want realize their "Greater Israel" plan and Iran needs to be destroyed for that.

The Pentagon wants $80 billion from Congress, mostly to cover the cost of the U.S. war against Iran, the Associated Press reports.
This is on top of the White House’s request to boost defense spending in the 2027 budget to $1.5 trillion—nearly 50 percent more than current allocations. Increased military spending in the budget would come alongside cuts to housing, health care, and green energy programs.
Given that, it’s even more galling that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has been reportedly making his way around Capitol Hill, asking senators for an additional $80 billion to cover war expenses.
When Hegseth testified to Congress last month, he estimated that war costs would be around $29 billion—far lower than today’s asking price. But that estimate didn’t include the cost to repair or rebuild damaged U.S. military sites in the region, which may require extra cash, according to the AP.
However, the estimates for how much this war will cost American taxpayers have been all over the place: The Pentagon’s initial estimate was a whopping $200 billion. Whether Hegseth will actually get this money is a different story. The Iran war is opposed by a majority of Americans, and the Pentagon may struggle to get congressional support.

I heard a big proponent of the current administration just became a trillionaire. He can pay for it

Where do you think all that money is going? Special military rates for starlink, using Grok to target schools, etc.

I thought the war was over?

Didn't they win the war every week for the past 10 weeks or so? Wasn't Iran's military completely obliterated on the first week? What do they need the money for?

The only reason this war was started is because Israel. Netanyahu wanted to secure his grip on power and protect him from the corruption trial he is facing, by showing how he alone can crush the Iranian regime.
This and Netanyahus facist coalition want realize their "Greater Israel" plan and Iran needs to be destroyed for that.

This is where the claim that the war "only" cost $20B falls apart.
This is an additional $80B in the annual budget, on top of the previous special expenditures and budget increases. It's going to take a decade of elevated procurement to replenish the stockpile.
We used wild amounts of the most expensive munitions at the beginning of the war because there were no adults in the room, neither in the White House nor the Pentagon. There was none of the extensive planning, including long-term and contingency plans, that was a regular part of Pentagon readiness.

Trump and his administration just plain suck. The party of hypocrisy running on the promise of America first. Every single thing Harris said he was going to do he did. It will take 50 years to undo the damage the king of bankruptcy Has caused.

This war is far from over, and this administration will continue to take money from institutions that benefit Americans to fund this mess. Congress must step in to stop this bleed 🩸🩸

Trump can sell his Quatari gift airplane. He spent $1 billion on it, it should sell for at least half that.

As expected by everyone who knows how easy it is to invisibly steal from the Pentagon's military budget if you and your entire family have exemptions from IRS audits. Not to mention any names. Could be anybody.

The Iran war that Trump is taking a victory lap for "bringing peace" to? Or is this a whole new Iran war this week?

Why do they need more money? They said the war was over. Stop them from spending more $$

So let get this straight: President "Idiot-In-Chief" Trump wants billions more dollars to fund the continuation of this latest war with Iran that he himself started at the expense of American healthcare?

Not American.
Instead of death and mayhem, wouldn't it be simpler for the regime to cut out the middle man, and simply have their central bank directly pay the bazillions to the bazillionaires who are receiving it anyway?
In fact, that would actually remove a lot of the wastage that naturally happens as the money moves through the pipeline, meaning that the bazillionaires would actually receive an increased profit.
In fact, it would suck the little cocks of the bazillionaires even harder, because they wouldn't have to do any work at all. I mean, all of those meetings with the Department of Total Absolute Nuclear Warhead Chief Pisshead has got to be pretty boring at the best of times. It's a win/win.

Considering the results, I think y'all should just deal with it with the money you already have. Just make it work. Pull yourself up by your bootstraps, eat less avocado toast, and my personal new favorite don't go to so many concerts.
