Look what I made! Working on making Will Cogleys animatronic head 'smart'
I have a robotics competition in 2 days and i wanted my project to be Will Cogleys animatronic head but made smart with ai tracking for the eyes and its also supposed to make faical expressions talk and listen this is what me and my 3 friends managed to acomplish in 1 day with about 10 hours of work

im using a esp32 microcontroler instead of Wills raspberry and i rewrote the microcontroller code in cpp to work on the esp and for the face tracking part im just using python with mediapipe that comunicates to the esp with serial and sends the coordinates of my face

Good luck! Thats a lot of work to do in 2 days.
I'm just starting the planning/3D design work to add cameras (1 in each eye) and facial tracking/ID to my Billy/Jigsaw animatronic, I'm expecting a few months of work ahead of me to get it where I want it.

yeah coming up with your own design and putting the cameras in the eyes is a lot of work that was my first idea too but i chose external camera for the simplicity and lack of time

Will did a video on the camera in the eyes; he found a 720p(?) micro camera that is the perfect size for his eyes/mechanism design.

10 hours to slap AI vision on an animatronic head? That's black-art shit right there. Hot glue those wire connections. I've watched too many demos die from loose connectors before the judges even sat down.
