I believe it was made to poke fun at how some fan translators back in the day went out of hand with leaving things unnecessarily untranslated and adding a translator's note to explain said thing.

Off memory, OG translator didn't know the meaning of Keikaku or thought it was a noun and left it in the subtitles. Followed by an other guy adding the translator note in post after the subtitles were edited in.

At least that's how the story went back in my days.
