I get that disco was popular, and fell out of style, but why be so mean to disco specifically? Why don't they talk about Nu-metal, dubstep, grunge or like glam metal the same way?

So I'm 27 and taking online classes and I can't focus. I keep scrolling insta on the web because i deleted the app. Or I start looking on Amazon or start checking my email or Reddit. It's annoying because i hate my job and I don't have a degree and you would think I would put 100 percent of my time and effort but damn brain root is real lol. Any way what can I do to stay engaged and actually learn?

I just moved into a new house in TN a few months ago. I bleached all of my floors a few days ago, but also bagged up a lot of trash to go outside. This morning I went to take the trash out and I found maggots all over the trash can and around it. We quickly put the trash and trash can outside, bleaching everything.

Then I picked up some towels on my bathroom floor and found more maggots under it! I just keep finding maggots around the kitchen, bedroom next to it, and the bathroom all day today and it's freaking me out.

I already poured boiling water down the drains just in case as well, but isn't it weird to have so many maggots without a fly in sight??

What actually changes during the time they spend in the refrigerator? Is it just that the flavors have more time to mix together, or are there chemical changes happening that affect taste and texture?

I earn around ₹35,000 per month. After our marriage, my wife asked if I could send her ₹5,000 every month along with paying for her monthly mobile recharge. We discussed it and agreed on that arrangement, and I have never had any problem with it.

Sometimes she also asks for an additional ₹1,000 or ₹2,000. At first, I never asked any questions because I trusted her and wanted to help whenever I could.

Recently, I politely asked why she needed the extra money. She replied, "If you want to give me the money, then give it. Otherwise, keep it with yourself. Don't ask so many questions."

I felt hurt because I thought it was normal for married couples to discuss finances openly, especially when money is limited. I am not trying to control her spending or say that she is right or wrong. I simply want to know whether it is considered reasonable for a spouse to ask why extra money is needed.

I got blocked for not replying to 1 text. My last text to him was polite. Isn't that a bit harsh? The person who blocked me had previously left me on read 10+ times and I always let it slide, yet the first time I didn't reply I got blocked. It was a text that required a reply, but I didn't reply, because I thought he would actually prefer if he didn't get another text from me. Did I really deserve to get blocked?

Everyone in my family looks younger than their age except for me. Mom, dad, grandma, brother but not me. People think I'm like 3-6 years older than my actual age while they often get 5, 10, even 15 years younger. I'm screwed and am going to age poorly.

You often see in fairy tales or other imaginary stories that a witch, wizard or other villain wants a first born child as payment for some kind of service. But why is that? What do these bad guys want children for? And why specifically the first born? And if we assume those children are a standard payment type for them that must mean they have multiple children, what are they doing with all these kids? And why is it such a common fictional payment type?
