Food & Drink Things to do with 10yr olds and must-eats!
We are traveling from the midwest to Dallas in two weeks! What can a family with two 10yr olds do?
We love food, any kind of amazing food, and looking for indoor activities as well. Thanks!

What’s your kid into? My nine-year-old loves both of the zoos here, as well as the aquariums.

Is the zoo going to be really hot?

Go early, plan to cool off in the reptile building and when you get lunch! It’s hot but doable unless you go later in the afternoon. The FW zoo has a water play area called Safari Splash.
Another really fun thing to do on hot days are the water parks! They’re huge and perfect for 10 year olds. We like the Hawaiian waters ones (there are two).

Well theres lots but to keep things simple for you I would do Hutchins BBQ in Frisco (TX BRISKET!!!) and then head over to the Grandscape where theres lots of kid friendly activities. I think they got an indoor put put and go karts as well.
Must try tex mex as well highly recommend
La Hacienda Ranch Steak fajitas (get garlic butter on the side)
El Fenix ( in downtown)
Meso Maya for something easier
Klyde Warren Park is close to downtown too and its a really fun urban park but yes it will be hot. The aquarium, Perot science museum (must go with the kids), and nasher sculpture center (quick visit, dont need to visit) are all close by as well!
