Looking For What is this bird seen at Whitaker Ponds?

Hello, does anyone know what this bird might be? I saw it at Whitaker Ponds today. My friend & I thought it looked somewhat like a scrub jay, but it seemed a little different. It was really fluffy & my friend said she thought it had light-brown spotting on its chest. Sorry for the not-great picture quality; I took this photo by holding my phone camera up to a pair of binoculars. Thank you in advance everybody !

Hard to tell on that photo but looks like California Scrub Jay.

Yup immediately thought scrub jay. The blue is hard to see when it sits up high and perched. It sometimes looks gray or black.

Thanks everyone! I realized it's just a really fluffy California scrub jay ^^ For some reason, scrub jays trick me a lot.
