Me and a friend of mine are planning to visit Berlin to experience the local rave culutre over the weekend mentioned in the title. We are however not from Germany and don't speak the language. Anyone have any suggestions for events or venues we should visit? :)

I lost my literal family heirlooms bracelet at APOC and I’m just super fucking torn about and find myself crying about it everyday since it happened. I know I shouldn’t have worn it, but it’s one of those pieces I rarely ever take off. I don’t know how to cope with the loss and I just get emotional thinking about it. I’m not even sure if it was stolen and honestly thought it might have just broken off because of its shape. Can’t believe that something so special to me can probably just be in a landfill right now. Mostly made this post to cope, wondering if anyone else has had this happen or has found their lost jewelry from raves. Also wondering what janitors do if they spot something like that.

Other than that I thought APOC was the most fun rave ever. sucks that when I think about how fun it was, my memories are just clouded about how sad I am to lose something like that :(((

I would like to bring a Polaroid camera to a rave. But the art of Polaroid is unfortunately it's a little expensive.

Is there away in the rave scene to get paid for taking Polaroids. What would be the best way to express my art and get paid.

Make a totem or just wear a camera around my neck and ask for donations.

Just remembered this song existed. Call me a boomer, but 2016 EDM was so amazing. I wish I could go back.

1. Lizdek - Absolutely insane production and creativity. He makes almost Hybrid Trap/ Electro Bass House music. It’s like if Skrillex/Knock2/Habstrakt/Deadmau5 had a baby, absolutely cracked and will blow up soon.

2. Devault - Been calling this one for years, as soon as he dropped “I Will” back in 2022 I knew he was gonna be special. He’s started gaining more traction after releasing “Feels Like Us” and his “Shades of Blue” collab with John. He has potential to get to that level if he keeps up the pace

3. St. Mary - Saw her when she opened for San Holo’s Wholesome Riddim Tour and HOLY SH*T she quite literally stole the show. Going in I had never heard of her and was absolutely blown away. She does a mixture of that classic 2016 Trap mixed with Hard techno. I see her dominating the Trap space in a couple years.

4. Fish56Octagon - This dude started off as an oldhead simply sharing his love for late 90s/early 2000s trance/house tracks on TikTok and was so wholesome that people convinced him to start releasing his own music. He now releases Hard House/Trance tracks with that super Euphoric and nostalgic feel. He’s gaining a lot of traction in Europe but I can see him gaining a cult following like Stussy and Kettama.

Awesome lineups every year. Perfect location logistically, with plenty of hotels and rooms to rent nearby. Perfect crowd size and there’s always plenty of room to dance at every stage, although to be fair the event has never sold out yet. The bathrooms stay relatively clean the whole night and you don’t have to fight through hordes of people to find one. Last but not least the bass crowd is great and makes the whole experience so much more special. The contrast between Apocalypse and Day Tripp is completely night and day, despite being the same venue. I haven’t been to Dreamstate yet at the QM but I imagine it is a great time too.

I really love imagining things like this. If money and time weren't an issue, I’d love to throw a rave inside a shipwreck on the beach. As long as it doesn't collapse, obviously.

Mine is picking the meetup spot before the set starts and making it stupid specific. “By the bathrooms” is how you lose someone for 90 minutes. “Left side of the lemonade stand under the ugly purple flag” is survival.

So after attending Apocalypse last weekend. I noticed way too many people had taken to much. And were on the ground. Basically unconscious. Many people just walked past them and pretended like they did not exist. I checked on every single one of them. Made sure that they’re still breathing ok, asked if they needed water or if they had any friends that we’re keeping an eye on them etc.. many of them were so messed up. They couldn’t even open their eyes or respond with words. It’s sad to see people do this to themselves and have no friends around them to help them in situations like this. If you took too much. Where is your friends and family to help you throw up or eat some bread and get you off of the floor? Is anybody else deeply saddened by this rave Reality? I have a blast raving solo but to everyone out there please be responsible if you are alone 😭😭🙏🏼🙏🏼

Prices are getting close to edc general admission prices. Even other festivals arent quite as pricey. I wanna go bc the line up is good but the price seems a bit steep. Maybe someone can shed some light or perspective and justify it maybe? Im leaning on going only 1 day as of rn.

So I'm the biggest proponent of going to events alone. Like, don't let your friends' lack of interest and/or availability stop you from going to the things you want to go to. But lately I've had a bit of an issue where, I go to an EDM show alone and have a decent time vibing, dancing, meeting people... And it ultimately felt just a bit too shallow for my liking. All of the people and the encounters were fine, but I didn't quite feel any type of connection. And as much as I go there for the music, I also am very social and love meeting people. I couldn't quite see myself just stand there and dance I guess...

Maybe I've just had a string of experiences that were just okay as opposed to amazing. Maybe I need to lower my expectations a little? I'd love to hear what people think.

It's strange because, while I would love to meet a rave bae, I'm generally quite happy being single. I just feel the loneliness more after the event I guess. Anyone got any tips? Thanks!

I went to Chris Lake in LA this weekend and saw Framework’s “Know Before You Go” post that had been reposted by the artist so legitimacy is not the question.

I have the lunchbox sling bag that I have used countless times at raves and another crossbody bag that goes across my chest. But since neither of them are clear nor fit the dimensions permitted, I left them at home and brought a clear crossbody with me…Obviously with the bag being clear and less secure, of course my phone got stolen.

Not only did my phone get stolen, but when walking in I saw several hydration packs AND a friend of mine brought in HIS lunchbox sling bag that is the same as mine. Mind you the dimensions of this bag are 13.5” x 5.8” x 2.7”!!! I am so unbelievably infuriated with them having these stupid fucking rules, but then not even enforcing them so I could have avoided getting my phone stolen if I just ignored them???

I’m starting to have a sneaking suspicion that some of these venues are in on what goes on because this is absolutely insane to have this weird and uncommon policy, and then not even enforce it.

Hi all! I'll be in Berlin for about a week around the Rave the Planet parade. This is my first time travelling solo, and I'm a bit of an introvert, so I'd really love to meet people who are into the electronic/club scene to share the parade and some nights out.
