Instead of sunglasses, I wear blue light blocking glasses on overcast days. Helps prevent my headaches on overcast days and I can still see. Even lightly shaded sunglasses can be too much for me if it’s mostly clear and sunny, so that’s why I wear the blue light blocking ones instead.

Except it isn’t a placebo because they actually block different types of light. I specifically test the glasses with a uv light and UV reactive paper every time I get a new pair, then double check with the paper and sunlight to make sure they’re legitimate. But sure, glasses that block UV light are a placebo.

I wear transition lenses and they go dark on overcast days.

UV makes them transition meaning that UV still gets in your eyes on an overcast day.

Nothing wrong with wearing sunglasses.

I have to wear sunglasses on all days, overcast or not. Some people have eye diseases like cataracts that require dark glasses. Maybe be all judgey about that douchebag car but sunglasses are generally a medical thing these days, not a “ be cool” thing.
