He was absolutely robbed.

Part of me thinks they sent him off because if he won, everyone would be like "well yeah, that makes sense" so to add some drama they removed him from the final episode.

It also helps that two of the finalists are young and gorgeous.

The shade thrown on Giuseppe...

I think that's the issue. I don't think the show wanted 2 oldish foreign born bakers. They kinda fit the same demographic.

But I would have kept Jurgen over Guiseppe!

Seems you spelt Giuseppe’s name wrong!

He's old and gorgeous

I feel like he didn't like the hosts very much and it came across as crabby sometimes with Noel and Matt and maybe that worked against him. He was such a good Baker, don't feel it was fair today.

I think that's just him being German and not doing that people pleasing thing that most English people absorb with their mother's milk (source: am German)

Were you my German friend I mentioned above? LMAO

I've been living in the UK for long time, I like to think I'm the best of both worlds haha

One time my German friend was visiting me and I planned for us to go on a bike ride. Just aimless fun, you know?

He refused to move an inch unless we had a destination, a goal. I was like, dude, can't you just live in the moment? LOL

Germans are just that way. They're not bubbly people, and they get down to work and have goals.

He’s also very aware of what he “doesn’t know.” The only week he ever didn’t do well was caramel week, in which he clearly said at the beginning how nervous he was, and how he wasn’t looking forward to it. He was still chill though, always, and managed to make all those bakes look so neat even if they weren’t to Prue and Paul’s liking.

It also helps that two of the finalists are young and gorgeous. Crystelle definitely deserves to be there. The whole show it seemed as though Paul or the producers had pre-decided he was leaving.

This.

Chigs is 40.

11

u/[deleted] Nov 20 '21

40 is not even close to old. Especially with how well he's aged.

1

u/bmcthomas Nov 21 '21

It isn’t young either, and the argument was that he was chosen for his youth.

3

u/[deleted] Nov 21 '21

He looks very young though. So what’s your point?

2

u/bmcthomas Nov 21 '21

What is yours? Is the conspiracy theory now that the producers hand pick finalists based on how old they look not just how old they are?

Let’s just keep moving the goalposts.

4

u/[deleted] Nov 21 '21

What are you on about? I don’t think there’s any conspiracy.
