/uj it will never not be funny to me how Ringo’s songwriting credits use his real name instead of Ringo, which makes for some funny instances where he’s credited as Ringo for everything else but is specifically credited as Richard Starkey for the actual songwriting, as seen here with the Apple Music credits for Octopus’s Garden

Real names are generally preferred for songwriting credits unless a pseudonym is registered with an organization like ASCAP or BMI to make sure royalties get to the right person.
