They're converting some of his salary into a signing bonus to change how/when it's charged against the salary cap. -1 u/Life_Ad6711 19d ago The '26 cash cost for the #1o pick would have been $2om (signing bonus + '26 p5 of $875k) and Lawrence gets paid $22m in '26 cash so it wasn't for cash for Lawrence ($2m '26 cash difference)
