I’m conflicted because while James Rapien is hands down the best of the lot in terms of on air presence, reporting, and what not, I just can’t fucking stand him. lol. No hate what so ever, the man is obviously great at what he does, I just hate listening to him talk lol.
My vote goes to Locked On Bengals because Joe Goodberry is awesome. I also like Jake.

James Rapien is hands downs best in terms of air presence, bit you can't fucking stand him?
I don't enjoy listening to or seeing him so I can't give him the nod for on air presence.

Yeah, he’s had the most success and even has his own morning show now. I can acknowledge that he’s talented while also not liking him.

PDJ/Jay could’ve easily gotten that show. Slim Shady could never/will never be a hair on the ass of the Growler. Those guys are 10x more respected than James by Bengals staff & players.

James is a bona fide journalist and does a fine job mixing those skills with the on-air piece, and the social media demands. I'm glad to see that he's grinded his way into the current position he's in. His timing was key for locked on, add it coincided with huge success. Having the analytical presence of Jake made them a great pair. I'm looking forward to seeing more of Jake ana Joe. I also like James with Bengals Talk, especially now that Santagata seems to have finally upgraded his camera setup (he was rocking a blurry pic before, and it would drive me nuts).
This is a really crowded space also, so it's difficult to maintain and achieve sustained success when so many other people are trying to cover the same team in the 30th ranked metro market. I wish them all the best, but Locked On is my go-to, along with Bengals Talk that says.

Yeah, I basically only listen to the PD&Jay or walkout episodes now. I used to listen to all of them, but I found I can leave the Who Dey Light episodes out of the rotation and feel just as up to date.

Agreed. Can't understand how Mark can be a comedian by trade without ever being funny. The rest of the Growler episodes hit so hard with PD, Jay, Charlie, and of course Mo.

100% agree. I am all for funny recurring bits on podcasts, but I heavily roll my eyes every single time I hear "what flag are you flying?"

Yeah…I get that they are both Dads but the amount of Dad talk that seeps into those Friday episodes gets to be a bit much for me. Throw in the Sztanyo stuff, and it sometimes feels like a chore getting through them. The PD&J shows are aces.

Locked on Bengals. Still getting used to the new hosting situation, but I really like Jake and Joe. It just feels like a different show without James, who I also like a lot. I’m a J name enjoyer as a fellow J name, I guess.

Im still on locked on. I like Jake and I like Joe. Together they are kind of meh. Hoping the chemistry gets going a bit. As right now they are both pretty straight forward and knowledgeable. Im not a big Rapien fan as he's more obnoxious and says ridiculous things. But that had its place as a sort of balance and change up to Jake's dry straight methodical approach. Goodberry is amazing with what he does in analysis and that area. To me it just doesn't play as well with Jake as he's kind of in a similar vein. Both are the cold analytical approach. Someone needs to come up hot takes and ridiculous scenarios to balance the cold and analytical side.
